Internship Description:

The Quincy Humane Society is a non-profit organization in Quincy, Illinois, which committed to the welfare and responsible stewardship of animals:

We are looking for an individual that is interested in working as an educator in a hands-on, indoor and outdoor setting.

Position Requirements:

Intern must be responsible; reliable; capable of self-directed work; personal and organizational skills; enthusiasm, and interested in teaching children from the community about humane education

Educational Opportunities:

The primary job responsibility of this intern will be the planning and execution of the Quincy Humane Society’s summer “Critter Camps”. This intern will also assist the Community Relations Manager by helping with various community outreach programs and events as needed throughout the summer.

This internship is unpaid but has flexible hours. As Critter Camp dates are quickly approaching and people are inquiring, this intern can begin working right away.

FEMA Corps is an NCCC track for 1,600 young adults who want to gain professional skills in emergency management while serving with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) staff on disaster response and long-term recovery efforts.
