Job Description

An Inventory Management and Distribution (IMD) Driver opportunity is available at Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center’s (MVRBC) Springfield, IL location. The IMD Driver is responsible for routine deliveries of blood and blood products to our hospital clients as well as for on-call emergency deliveries and restocking deliveries to other Blood Center locations.

This is a per diem (on call) position that will be on-call every other weekend (7:30 p.m. Friday through 7:00 a.m. Monday).  Candidate must be able to report to our Springfield, IL office at 2801 S 10th Street within 20 minutes after receiving a call.

Candidates must be friendly and reliable, possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by our insurance carrier. Must be able to drive in adverse weather conditions and lift up to 60 lbs.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is entry-level professional work involving compliance auditing of the internal operations of the state of Missouri’s licensed gaming organizations. The primary responsibility is to onduct examinations and audits to determine compliance by casinos with the Missouri Riverboat Gambling Act and Regulations. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 earned credit hours in Accounting. (One year of professional accounting or auditing experience will substitute for up to 9 earned credit hours of the required specialization in Accounting).

AmeriCorps NCCC Team Leader

We’re looking for experienced leaders…this could be you. The AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) Team Leader coordinates the activities of 10-12 Corps Members in service projects that generally last 6-8 weeks on community outreach projects in the areas of natural and other disasters, environment, energy conservation, infrastructure improvement and urban and rural development. He/She serves as a role model, facilitator, educator and safety manager while encouraging high standards for 18-24 year old members involved in community-based service learning projects. The Team Leader serves as a liaison between the campus and project sponsor and reports directly to a Unit Leader.

In exchange for an 11-month commitment, Team Leaders receive the following: living allowance of $12,500, room and board, limited health and child care benefits, education award of $5,815, student loan forbearance, uniforms, transportation to and from the campus at the beginning and end of the program, and the opportunity to travel and learn new skills.

AmeriCorps NCCC seeks applicants who have supervisory experience working with young adults and a high degree of patience, flexibility, and adaptability. FEMA Corps is an NCCC track for 1,600 young adults who want to gain professional skills in emergency management while serving with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) staff on disaster response and long-term recovery efforts. It is a 10 month, full-time, team-based residential service program that was developed in partnership with FEMA and the Corporation for National and Community Service, the agency that oversees AmeriCorps NCCC.

FEMA Corps members focus solely on administrative and logistical support within FEMA. Members are assigned to one of five NCCC campuses, located in Denver, CO; Sacramento, CA; Baltimore, MD; Vicksburg, MS; and Vinton, IA. FEMA Corps members receive a living allowance of approximately $4,000, housing, meals, limited medical benefits, member uniforms and a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $5,815 upon successful completion of the program.
