DLA123-0028 Translation
Vienna
16th Nov. [18]97
Dear Mr László,
I have been so busy recently that now, having found your kind letter of 4th November among my papers, I cannot remember whether I have replied to it – in which case I ask your forgiveness, and I can assure you that everything was done according to your wishes. The picture [possibly 2438] was packed and dispatched by the same cabinet-maker who made the alterations to the frame.
I was not in Eberhard[1] at the time but I made arrangements through my brother-in-law, who acknowledged receipt of the communication.
We read the review in the Frankfurt newspaper with great pleasure and interest, and we congratulate you on the great success.[2]
My wife[3] joins me in sending you our kind regards, and I remain,
Yours sincerely,
Albert Apponyi
