Following the success of Mother’s Day celebration in our May monthly meeting, our upcoming June meeting will celebrate the Dads on Father’s Day (June 15th) in our annually-held picnic format.
On behalf of the Executive committee, a Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there.

Father’s Day Picnic
In keeping with the annual tradition, JSCNC will celebrate Fathers’ Day in a special outdoor picnic format. Sign-up for attendance is now complete. Many thanks to Rajen and Puja Doshi for sponsoring the event this year.

Mahavir Jayanti Program DVDs
Most of the DVDs have been distributed to those who pre-registered and also were present at the last meeting (May). If you pre-registered and did not get your DVDs or if you would like to get copies, please see one of the Executive Committee members at the picnic. The cost for the entire DVD set is $3 (Cash only)
Scholar Visits for 2014
JSCNC is fortunate to host 2-3 scholars each year even though we are a relatively small center. We have the following scholars who have confirmed to visit our center. Please mark your calendars. We will send out detailed schedule with discourse topics once we get closer to their dates. If someone would like to host any of the scholars while they are visiting us, please contact Kiritbhai Shah (email@example.com). Also, if you would like to contribute to the scholar fund, please contact Anand Shah or Pratyush Mehta.

2014 YJA Convention
When: July 3 - 6, 2014
Where: Crystal Gateway Marriott, Washington, DC
Young Jains of America would like to invite Jain youth between the ages of 14 and 29 to the 2014 YJA Convention: "Young Jains: Today's Learners, Tomorrow's Leaders." Join us in Washington, D.C. from July 3rd-6th at the Crystal Gateway Marriott. Attendees will hear from a wide range of speakers, participate in engaging social events and forge everlasting connections!

Regular Pathshala sessions have resumed starting May 4th.
As a reminder, Pathshala classes are held every first Sunday of the month from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Hindu Temple Cultural Hall AND on 3rd Sundays during the monthly meeting. If you plan to attend and/or need more information, please contact the Pathshala teachers at JSCNCpathshala@yahoo.com.
Father’s Day Picnic Celebration
Children are encouraged to prepare some nice words, poems, songs, dances or anything their hearts desire, to share with their dads at the event.
