➽Sources should be organized alphabetically by the first word or name in the entry.

➽Write a short paragraph about your sources that identifies the author and their purpose, then analyse the source in terms of it timeliness, objectivity, and accuracy in order to evaluate the values and limitations of the source and make a conclusion about it's validity.

👣4 Answer the research question.

In the box below, summarize the answer to your research question.

Question: (copy here)

How does the idea of monotheism change the Roman Empire?

As the empire expanded, the Romans refrained from imposing their own religious beliefs upon those they conquered, however, this inclusion must not be misinterpreted as tolerance, this can be seen with their early reaction to the Jewish and Christian population. Eventually, all of their gods would be washed away, gradually replaced by Christianity, and in the eyes of some, this change brought about the decline of the western empire. At first, the Roman Empire started with polytheism, they did not accept monotheism as their type of religion. They thought that monotheism was peculiarly weird: why not just worship lots of gods who have different functions so it is more helpful to them. Judaism was the beginning of all monotheistic religions in the Roman Empire. It established Christianity, however, Judaism, as one of the oldest monotheistic religions in the Roman Empire, was not really in favor of the Romans because of their beliefs on a single God. The Christianity population grew and grew until the Romans realized their religion is losing, and viewed Christianity as a threat. The Romans then killed Jesus because this can be a warning to the Christians that if you become Christians maybe you will die. However, after Jesus’s death, some Jewish people started converting themselves to Christianity. One messenger of Christianity, Paul of Tarsus, tried to spread the idea of Christianity in foreign countries, he traveled to many places, but Paul was beheaded in 65 CE by the Romans, by 380 CE, after the Edict of Milan in 313 CE, Christianity was made the official religion of the Roman Empire by the emperor Constantine.

👣5 Check on my research process, I have…

➽ collected a variety of information (not just websites, or same type of websites)

➽ used a substantial amount of facts and examples

➽ used evidence to answer my research question

➽ addressed all elements of the research question, including sub-questions

➽ clearly stated a conclusion to the research by answering the question

👣6 Reflection- A time to reflect and look back on your process. (B4)

What did you learn throughout the process of doing your summative?

With limited time, I learned how to research and get the information I need quickly, at first there was a bunch of words squished together that I don’t know where to start with, then I learned to press command F to find keywords so I can organize faster and know what is the correct information

What challenges did you have?

In class, I was stuck on my action plan, I didn’t know what to do, so I grabbed a textbook and start reading, I didn’t start writing, the second day, I realized I was behind. At home, I had to restart my canva 2 times because it doesn’t save even though it says it saved it already.

How did you overcome the challenges?

I asked my friend about the OPVL chart first, I kind of understand, so I started looking for information and finding the answer to my research question, because the canva thing doesn’t save, I have to finish it one time, and take screenshot on every page.

From this activity I have learned that I did well in…

From this activity, I did well using Go Conquer, Canva, and organizing my informations, I did well on my OPVL chart, I clearly understand how to organize a website’s 4 different parts, I learned really much here.

I could improve my performance by…

I could improve my performance by writing more on my mind map, I need more topics for posted note informations, by doing that, I have to find more keywords and topics to put information separately, I have all the information, but I think it can be more organized.
