Welcome to consign Design, we are pleased that you wish to become part of the consignment world.

This is how it works:

▪We prefer to do everything by appointment only, this way we can provide you with our utmost attention.

▪All items must be in exceptional shape, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being brand new, the condition should rate no less than 8.

▪It is your responsibility to deliver all items to the shop and take them away if they are not sold.

▪All lamps must come with matching shades in good condition.

▪We do not take chipped, broken, badly stained or damaged goods. If anything arrives needing cleaning we will not accept that item for consignment.

▪We will not accept furniture or décor exposed to heavy smoke or pet hair.

▪Items need to be pre-approved by emailed photos with dimension information at info@consigndesign.ca

Consignment Term:

▪ Items are hereby consigned with Consign Design for 120 days from the effective date with continuous routine mark-downs taking place during the term.

▪After 30 days the beginning price is reduced by 10%, with an additional reduction of 10% being added every month onwards.

▪After 120 days’ further price reductions are made at our discretion.

▪Consignor will receive 60% of the final selling price unless other arrangements have been made.

▪If you wish to reclaim your items before the contract period ends, there will be an early termination charge of 10% of the beginning price.

▪Unsold items need to be picked within 7 days of the Agreement Termination Date.

▪Unsold item pick-ups must happen with our regularly scheduled business hours. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment to do so.

Payment:

▪Consignors are paid via cheque once an item has sold, unless other arrangements have been made.

▪Cheques are issued between the 15th and 20th of each month for items sold in the month previous.

▪You will be notified via email if a cheque has been issued to your account.

▪Unclaimed, lost, or stolen cheques will not be reissued.

Marketing:

▪Consign Design has the right to photograph the item(s) being sold and retain the images for any marketing or advertising use such as website features, instagram, facebook, blog posts, and ads.

Liability:

▪This is a consignment store open to the public where customers are able to handle and test items. We do our best to safeguard your items from any damage, but we are not responsible for any damage or loss. Consign Design cannot be held responsible for of items due to fire, theft, natural disasters, or any other unforeseen circumstances.
