What it is about

  • This course is about developing and using accounting and bookkeeping policies and practices; managing a cash receipts and payments system, bank reconciliations; processing journal entries, posting journals to ledgers, extracting trial balance and interim reports; establishing debtors and creditors, managing accounts receivable, identifying bad and doubtful debts and planning recovery actions, and remitting payments to sundry creditors; preparing financial reports for cash and accrual accounting in manual and integrated computerised accounting systems.
