Huntsman  Tournament Oct 3 - 4

Team 55

Report One:     

The bats worked very well the 1st 2 games. Tom Biko , Jeff Thompson and  Glen  Stodolka  hit fence clearing HRs. Mike Ferre  put on a show of speed as he hit 2 inside the park HRs in the second game.

Derry Ersemen and Glen Stodolka hit fence clearing HRs in the 3rd game.

Big difference in team speed this year now that Biko and Larson moved up and Jamie White retired.

Play Thursday and seeded in the A division

Report Two:

     Won the first playoff game in the A division against Great Falls 14-9. Score was 3 to 1 in the 4th and we finally scored a few  more runs to get ahead and stay there.

Second game was against Utah. Another pitchers battle. One bad inning with a few errors put us behind, but we numerous chances to catch up but couldn’t get the bats going. Pitching in both games was superb. Trent Rasch had a fence clearing HR

Report Three:

     Played for the silver metal today against Alaska and lost 18-11. Started well scoring 5 in the 1st but  bats went flat after. Alaska hit very well and deserving of the win. Glen Stodolka  went deep.  Glen Smebby  took a line drive off  his shin and is pretty sore. Had a great time and the  rookies seem to really enjoy themselves.
