Some of the dances taught:
Sevillanas are danced by couples of all ages during fiestas and ferias in Spain. Sevillanas choreography is very structured and knowing it is very useful, since it is a festival dance. This is why those intending to dance flamenco usually start by learning Sevillanas. Even though Sevillanas is danced in pairs no partner is needed when joining a class
The Bulerias is a very popular Flamenco Fiesta dance in Andalusia, Spain. Everyone dances it, even guitarists and singers. It is fun and it comes from the word “burlear” which means “to fool around”. The rhythmic cycle is composed of 12 beats. In this course you will learn a short Bulerias choreography using palmas (hand clapping) to mark the rhythm with footwork and how to dance to some “letras” (sung verses).
