King Fuad’s Visit

Rumour has it that King Fuad of Egypt is contemplating a visit to Cowes for the Regatta this year, to be followed by a private tour of the Highlands.

Should this plan eventuate, King Fuad, presumably, will be the guest of some of the great Scottish Lairds.

Unfortunately, the Duke of Sutherland will not be at Dunrobin this autumn as he has decided to visit his Canadian property.

Royal Portraits

Blair Atholl is another show place at which King Fuad might have been entertained, but it has been let on lease to American tenants. Mr. de Laszlo, the well known Court painter, has just completed three portraits of the King of Egypt [4094][113256][110671], besides a charming full length portrait of the seven-year-old Prince Farouk [4122].

It is not surprising that Mr. de Laszlo is now resting in Upper Egypt.
