Scrapbooking Retreat Check List
Some of these supplies can be shared if you are going with a friend or two. That way you have less to pack but still have a nice assortment of supplies to choose from.
- Paper cutter and blade refills
- Adhesives - Snail, dimensionals, glue dots, tear tape, crystal effects, hot glue (if needed). Remember you are crafting all weekend so you will go through a lot. Most retreats will have someone who has some available to purchase but if not, make sure you bring plenty of refills.
- Scissors, tweezers and paper piercing tool
- Ruler
- Stapler and extra staples
- Stamps and inks based on the projects you've pre-planned.
- Stamp cleaner and/or baby wipes
- Project packs - the bundles with the supplies that you prepped during the planning stage. See blog post here for more info.
- Kits or a coloring book to work on when you experience a creative roadblock.
- Current album or the album you plan on working on
- Photos
- Extra album pages or pocket pages
- Project Life cards if you plan on using pocket pages
- Heat tool and embossing powders
- Die cut machine (like the Big Shot, Cricut or Silhouette) or find out if there will be a machine available to use. If so, what it is and if you have specific dies you'd like to use over the weekend bring those along.
- Punches needed for pre-planned projects
- Embellishments/ephemera: if you've done up project packs, most of what you need should be included in your packages. However it’s a good idea to throw in a few of the things you use most often.
- In addition to your project packs, it’s a good idea to bring extra cardstock and patterned paper.
- If you do any mixed media, you'll need a cup for water, paper towels, paint, brushes, misting bottles, stencils and anything else you may use.
- Laptop/iPad
- Headphones: these are nice if you are watching videos and don't want to disturb others or if you want to listen to your own music:)
- Light - some retreats may not have great lighting, unless you are familiar with the setup, you may want to include a desk lamp or OTT light.
- Kleenex
- Baby wipes
- Scrap paper
