LION MANSION HOTEL,
BRIGHTON.
July 6th [1924]
Mr dear Mr de Laszlo,
before leaving here yesterday I wrote to my florist, and told him to get Mrs de Laszló some of my favourite Anthuriums if he could they are such nice things in a room, as they are original and last so well

(they come from the Rothschild Gardens)
When I got to Belgrave Square I found your letter having been forwarded from Staffordshire.
My wife says she so much hopes to meet you and Mrs de Laszló so if you ever motor here, don't forget to telephone so we can be in to lunch or tea

I picked up a full length portrait by Whistler (for a song)! the other day here I should like to show you -
I had quite a success at the Garden Party! H.M. coming up to talk to ask after my wife; greatly to the disgust of some friends near me!

I thought the refreshments very well done, as there was plenty left, but I must say I don’t aprove [sic] of Lyon doing it!!
Did you read about my [illegible] in Saturdays daily Graphic! at the American party.
Yours cordially,
Victor Bowring-Hanbury
