Warm-up Protocol

Each Team will receive 4 minutes on the net, while the other team is off the court at their backline

After the 4 minute warm-up on the net. Each team will receive 2 minutes to serve back and forth with the other team.

TEAMS WILL REMAIN ON THEIR SIDE OF THE NET AND BENCH FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE GAME. 

1. 2 out 3 games for all Divisions

2. 25 point games (no cap); must win by 2

3. 15 point deciding game

4. Include net serve (serve can hit net; not antennae)

5. 2 timeouts per game-1 minute each (1 additional time out for tie game)

6. Players shall not wear jewelry (including during warm-ups) with the exception of religious or medical medals.  If such a medal is worn, it must be taped to the body under the uniform.

7. Uniforms shall be worn as intended by manufacturers.

8. Multiple contacts are more than one contact by a player during one attempt to play the ball.  Multiple contacts are permitted only: on any first team hit off a server or spike, whether or not the block touches the ball.

9.         Lowest TWO DIVISIONS teams shall use the modified serve line (7 ft in from the endline); cannot serve overhand from the modified serve line, must use the regulation line.

10. LOWEST TWO DIVISIONS (TBD) & Pools J through N only- one player may only serve for 5 consecutive points

        - After 5th point the serving position must rotate for

the serving team.

- The opposing team maintains their position.

11.  3 minutes between games

12. The official book shall list players by serving order not by position. (ex: start game with the first server in the right front position during serve receive and is listed as the first server)

13. Flip coin for serve

14. No yelling or stomping the feet during a serve

15. High School Federation Rules will prevail regarding any specific rules not covered within the parochial rules.

• Term of Serve: A players Service begins when the player assumes the back right position as the server ends when a loss of rally is awarded, or for the substitution of a player is made prior to the players end of service.

• When a player releases the ball for service, then it drops on the floor. The referee shall award a second and last attempt. The server is allowed an additional 5 five seconds. A ball contacting an overhead implement like a basket or wall is illegal and is considered a side-out.
• Servers are allowed ONLY 1 toss and drop attempt per term of serve. A second toss and drop during a term of serve results in a side-out.

16. TOP DIVISIONS A-B  DIVISION teams may or may not use a Libero if they wish. Libero Tracker must be provided by team using Libero.
