Quick Login Setup Manual
The LoiLoNote School app offers two main methods for users to log in to their accounts and access their saved data: regular login and Quick Login. Using the regular login method, users must enter their school ID, user ID, and password each time they log in.
Once a device is logged in using Quick Login, students and teachers need only select their name from a list to automatically log in LoiLoNote School and access the data stored to their account. Behind the scenes, LoiLoNote School’s server will keep track of the user ID and password for each user, but the user will not need to remember their individual account details each time they log in.
LoiLoNote School’s Quick Login feature makes it possible to shorten the time students spend logging in to LoiLoNote School at the beginning of a lesson.
If multiple students use the same device to log in to LoiLoNote School under teacher supervision, we strongly encourage you to use the Quick Login feature.
Because students do not have to enter their user ID and password, Quick Login saves time. However, because login is possible without a password, student’s accounts are less secure.
If students will use the same device for the year, or use the device outside of teacher supervision, we do not recommend using Quick Login.
To enable the Quick Login feature, you will need to complete the following steps:
1. Log in to the School Administrator’s Web Console
3. Create a shared Quick Login ID and Password
4. Enable Quick Login on Individual Devices
Log in to the web console using the School Administrator’s user ID and password.

There are three ways to prepare rosters of new students for use with the Quick Login feature. Further explanation of each method follows below.
A. Upload a Quick Login Roster
B. Upload a Regular Student Roster
C. Use a Preset Roster (student cannot be carried-over from year to year)
In most cases we recommend using the first or second method, as carrying over data from one year to the next is not possible via the third method. |
Download Quick Login Roster Template XLSX file.
A Note About XLSX and CSV Format Spreadsheet Files The template spreadsheet file mentioned here is saved in the modern XLSX format. The web console will ask you to upload an individual sheet (page) of the data you entered in the XLSX spreadsheet file in a different, more basic format called CSV. Please be aware that all registration information uploaded to the web console should be saved in CSV format. |
From the main menu of the administrator’s web console, select “Students”.
From the Student List, select “Register Students for Quick Login” from the “Import” pull-down menu.
From the modal dialog, select “Download Sample Here.”
Enter student information regarding grade, class, name, and sort key. There is no need to enter an ID or password for each student.
Upload Quick Login Roster in CSV format
Export the Quick Login Roster data you entered in the template file to a CSV-format file.
Once again, from the Student List, select “Register Students for Quick Login” from the “Import” pull-down menu.
From the Register Students for Quick Login modal dialog, click “Browse…” ( or “select file…” on some browsers) to select the file for upload, then click the “Upload” button to complete the upload.
After uploading the file, the web console will display the changes to be registered. If the information is correct, click on “Import”.
New students registered via a CSV-formatted regular roster (students registered with a user ID and password) can also use Quick Login to log in to LoiLoNote School. For detailed instructions about registering new students en-masse via a regular student roster, please refer to the User Registration Manual.
If your school chooses to use a preset roster to log in to LoiLoNote School, there is no need to enter information for each individual student. However, the users’ data cannot be carried over from one year to the next. Sequentially numbers IDs will be generated. (s01, s02, s03, s04, s05 …)
From the main menu, select “School Settings”
From the “School Settings” menu, select “Preset Registration”.
Check “Setup Preset Users for Quick Login”
Click the “Register Preset Data”.
From the main menu, select “School Settings”.
From the “School Settings” menu, select “Quick Login Configuration”.
If not yet enabled, select “Enable Quick Login”.
All devices will use the generic ID and password initially to enable the Quick Login menu on each individual copy of the app.
! | Please use a robust, complex password and keep the generic ID and password confidential. Should your school choose to stop using Quick Login in favor of the more secure regular login method, anyone with knowledge of the generic ID and password will be able to re-enable Quick Login, and thus login in to LoiLoNote School as any student. |
Create a teacher password. Teachers will use this to access the list of teachers from the main Quick Login menu.
! | Please use a robust, complex password. Please distribute this password to all teachers. |
Open the LoiLoNote School app.
When asked, enter the generic user ID and password created in the previous step.
Please confirm that students and teacher can access their names from the respective lists.
Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 devices can access the Quick Login menu using the same process as described above for iOS and Android devices. However, unlike iOS and Android versions of the app, users can easily disable Quick Login from LoiLoNote School’s settings menu. To prevent users from disabling Quick Login, we recommend creating an automatic login settings file to force the Windows device to log in using the generic ID and password. For detailed instructions about creating an automatic settings file, refer to the separate Windows Login Settings File Manual.
To disable Quick Login within the app, tap and hold the school name in the upper left-hand corner of the Quick Login screen for 5 seconds.
Select Login Settings > Disable > Log Out
In addition, iOS users can disable Quick Login from the Settings app.
Settings app > LoiLoNote School > Quick Login Settings
Launch the LoiLoNote School App.
To show the Windows 8 charms, swipe left from the right edge of the screen.
Tap Settings > Advanced Settings> Login Settings > Disable
To show the Windows 8 charms, move the mouse cursor to the upper right-hand corner of the screen, then downwards following the right edge of the screen.
Tap Settings > Advanced Settings> Login Settings > Disable.
Click the hamburger menu (三) in the upper left-hand corner of the white top-bar.
Select Settings > Advanced Settings > Login Settings > Disable.
To display the app’s top-bar, swipe down from the top edge of the screen on a touch screen, or move your mouse’s cursor to the top edge of the screen.
Click the hamburger menu (三) in the upper left-hand corner of the white top-bar.
Select Settings > Advanced Settings > Login Settings > Disable.
Your school has created a Quick Login settings file for the current Windows user. The presence of this file forces LoiLoNote School to automatically log in using the generic Quick Login ID and password, and prevents the current Windows user from manually logging out of the Quick Login screen. Before disabling Quick Login in the LoiLoNote School app, you need to disable this settings file.
For more information about the Windows Login Settings File, please consult the Windows Login Settings File Manual.
