TSA THESPIAN SOCIETY PRESENTS

READER’S THEATER PRESENTS:

In Darfur By Winter Miller on Friday, April 28, 7:00pm at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church

In Darfur is the provocative account of three intertwined lives at a camp for internally displaced persons in Darfur. The story follows an aid worker's mission to save and protect lives, a journalist's pursuit to deliver a "Page One" story and a Darfuri woman's quest for safety. It is a searing story of urgency and international significance. (A portion of the royalties from In Darfur will be donated to an anti-genocide organization.)

AUDITIONS FOR KALEIDOSCOPE

There are a lot of competitors this year, so here's a couple of tips and some directions if you're auditioning.

Be at the Attic Theatre 15 minutes prior to your audition time! You will get directions if your audition will be in a different room, and you might be able to go earlier than scheduled.

All dance and solo voice auditions will be in the Attic. There will be playback for songs - from your phone or iPad is perfect.

Music auditions using drum set and amps will take place in rm 407 (unless there's dancers or more than 6 performers - than its the Attic). We will listen to several in a row in 407, so it might affect your audition time. Please be sure your equipment is ready to go, and don't hog the room while others are also making sure their gear is in place.

Piano solos (without voice) will audition in the Chorus room. Percussion ensembles will audition in the Percussion studio. For both, we will listen to several in a row in each room, so it might affect your audition time.

Other instruments or voice with piano will audition in the Attic theatre.

Don't change from Monday to Tuesday! Better yet, move your Tuesday audition to Monday!

You may be stopped if your piece goes over 4 minutes - it won't affect your chances, but time for prelims is limited.

Good luck to all!
