Logging Time

Why we log time:

  1. It is how you receive credit for work you completed
  2. It allows you to reflect on what you did well in your project.  We all learn differently and knowing what we are strong in will help us plan our next project.
  3. It allows you to learn from any mistakes.  Just like recognizing strengths we need to take notice of places we can improve or know what we might want to do differently next time.

How we log time:

1.  Write in complete sentences and use your best grammar.

2.  Write a detailed description of what you did.  Think of a time log as a journal.

3.  Record the websites you visited and any other sources you used.

4.  Describe what went well, what excited you, what didn’t work ect.

Examples:

Correct:  I read and took notes on the article “Yes He Did It” on nytimes.com for one hour.  I then compared these notes to my notes from yesterday.  I was really surprised to learn how hard some Olympic athletes work to get to where they are.  Tomorrow I plan on reading the article “Snow” from time.com to get another perspective.

Needs Improvement:  Read nytimes.com

Needs Improvement:  Researched
