Jan 2, 2018:  A HAPPY NEW YEAR'S Update from Shannon:

I'm SO EXCITED for 2018!!

Autumn Gold has had a nice, rejuvenating break and I, for one, am raring to go! We have already been contacted by some upcoming venues to book for summer events and I am STOKED about that!!

Ever the "zealous, over-achiever" (-- YES, I am determined to quell that bad habit.  I have a tendency to run myself ragged) I am still alive -joking- after quite a harry semester, thinking I would have time to grow a garden and the consequent harvest preservation, as well as my 94-and-a-1/2yr. old grandmother's many health travail's. (I have told my loved one's --at whatever the cost- do NOT allow me to even THINK about planting a garden until I'm done with college!! --about 7 years. I about drove myself insane trying to keep up with it all and I'm quite SURE I've added a few more lines to my face and sparkles on the top of my head from the additional stress I put on myself! lol ;D  But I passed my Econ class (those economists sure think differently.... ), got an "A" in my Piano I course and canned, dried & froze quite a bit of garden tasties. GOALS MET!!  ......and Gramma is now peacefully in Heaven.  She passed December 26th --true to fashion, she made sure to get passed Christmas for us. She had a good, long run of it. I will miss her immensely but will cherish allll the good I learned from her and know she's beside me on the other side, at peace in Heaven.

Rest In Peace, Gramma.

--Goals for this year? To learn "BALANCE".....I've pruned my activities down to just my loves and basics.

That said, my medical Reiki practice has really been taking off and I resume classes Jan. 8th --FORWARRRRD, MARCH!!! ~to Piano II and my final math class to meet my degree requirements!  Hard work + Focus = dreams coming true.... ,')  I already have a whole list of songs to learn piano for Autumn Gold. Focusing on bluesy, slow-dance love songs. ,') mmmmm!  ~they are like warm honey poured slowly over my soul and feel SO GOOD to sing. ,')  Can't wait to perform them.

Other great news is that my hubby was rehired at the place that "outsourced" him last March. WHAT a YEAR...!! But no complaints. It was tuff. It was hairy but GOD HAS BEEN SO GOOD TO US and through it all, we STILL had such a fabulous year! It will be so nice to have my hubby working from home again. We are going to dig out the studio and really hope to carve out some time to not only add the finishing touches to my Nashville music but also bump out some or our Autumn Gold music to post online. :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR, ALL!

May you have great health, joy, fulfilling relationships, goals met and contentment!

Peace & Blessings!

Had an awesome outing a Atwood Park in Thursday night!

Shannon and Larry are back with new songs and looking forward to a great season performing. And they had been joined by Caco de la Sotta providing some great light percussion!
