Abortion

Claim: Abortion is just killing the baby and nothing more

Fact: (example of people not going to jail for pulling the plug on family members) “The basic of Bodily authority argument for abortion was first articulated in 1971 by moral philosopher Judith Jarvis Thomson.” While in the state of the argument that even an unborn child is a human being, “She nonetheless justified abortion as the non-intentional killing,” ( Link ) According to Merriam Webster, murder is defined as “the crime of unlawfully and unjustifiably killing a person” Link. An argument can be made that pulling the plug on someone on life support, is the same as an abortion. People withdrawing life support on a developed human (especially those who do not have an advance directive) do not face legal charges and prosecution. Likewise arguments could be made the same for abortion. Another point of view to see this through is the analogy from the Ezra Klein Show “Ethics of Abortion” where they used the metaphor or a heap of sand. If you dropped little individual grains of sand on a surface one at a time, eventually you would drop so many that it would become a heap. But how can you determine exactly which grain of sand caused it to go from a couple of grains to a heap? Similarly, how can you know the exact moment a fetus becomes a person? Now in terms of “Killing the baby and nothing more…” part of the argument, we have to also acknowledge the

Claim: My vote was just for the abortion issue and nothing else

Fact: Although your vote may have only been for one issue, there is no denying that numerous other issues are attached to the candidate which they intend to enact or will, with certainty, enact while in office. The one issue vote in fact is an ignorant and uneducated way to vote.

Claim: A fetus is a human being, and human beings have the right to life, so abortion is murder.

Fact: “A fetus cannot survive on its own. It is fully dependent on its mothers body, unlike born human beings. Even if a fetus was alive, the “right to life” doesn’t imply a right to use somebody else’s body. People have the right to refuse to donate their organs for example, even if doing so would save somebody’s life. The “right to life” also doesn’t imply the right to love by threatening somebody else’s life. Bearing children is always a threat to the life of the mother. A right to life, is, at the end of the day, a right to not have somebody else’s will imposed upon your body.” (Link ) . Another fact is that fetuses do not have social security numbers or life insurance plans. If a fetus was recognized by the government as a true human being they would get both of those things. The government only recognizes them as a human when a mother is having an abortion, but still yet no life insurance or payment for that fetus is handed over to the family. So in conclusion, the government does not view the fetus as a child, but is more so aiming to control a woman’s bodily autonomy and actions, citing back to patriarchy.

Claim: If a woman is willing to have sex, she is knowingly taking the risk of getting pregnant and should be responsible for her actions.

Fact: In the fact of “responsible”, the argument is asserting that giving birth is the “responsible” choice in the event of a pregnancy, but that in fact is still an opinion. The argument could be made that if a mother knows she won’t be able to provide for her child, its actually more responsible for her to have an abortion, and in doing so prevent a whole lot of undue, suffering and misery to that child during their life” ( Link)

Rebuttal: Woman can practice safe sex and avoid getting pregnant. If she refuses to use contraception and gets pregnant as a result that’s her fault and her responsibility

Rebuttal to the rebuttal: Not everyone has easy access to contraception, nor does everyone have a good enough sex education class to known how to use it or where to obtain it. But lets just suppose, for the sake of the argument that everyone has free contraception and knew how to use it correctly. Even  thought contraction on are not 100% effective, presumably you oppose abortions even in the case where contraception fails ( and it does fail even when used perfectly). If that’s true, you’re saying, by merely choosing to have sex, with or without a condom— a woman becomes responsible for having a child. And that’s a belief that has everything to do with judging a woman’s behavior, and nothing to do with the value of life.( Link )

Claim: Adoption and Foster homes are a viable alternative to abortion.

Fact: Many argue that foster care would be a cruel alternative to abortion as the quality of life of the child decreases significantly through foster care. In the sense of even having a child there are financial burdens as well as pregnancy complications and uncertainties even before a child is brought into this world. “The mere act of having a child in a hospital can cost between $3,000 and $37,000 in the United States. Giving birth is dangerous. In the United States, pregnancy complications are the 6th most common cause of death for women between the ages of 20 and 34. And even before birth, there are costs to pregnancy. Mothers (especially teens and young mothers) are shunned and shamed for their pregnancy not just by communities surrounding them but by advertisements on the subway. They’re also at risk of violent retribution from abusive partners and parents.” Link. But turning back to foster care itself. Currently in the Foster care system there are estimated to be 369,000 children. That is between 19.8 and 1.6 per 1,000 children per state, and an average of 5.1 for every thousand for the nation. It is also known fact that 1 in 17 kids entering foster care are children of color. These disparities often track closely with elevated rates of child poverty, [birth mothers from minority communities], substance abuse and neglect that are driven by factors for family separations. Within foster care, 53-80% of siblings are separated from each other within the system [causing trauma and mental health problems]. Another fact is that fostering is exhausting and 30-50% of foster families decide to quit fostering each year. Case workers also have a turnover rate of 20-40% per year [resulting in disruption of foster children’s files, cases and attention sometimes resulting in abuse]. Between 50 and 80% of children in foster care meet the criteria for mental health disorder. Data also shows that between 25-33% of youth and young adults experiencing homelessness had a history of foster care. 31-46% of young people experienced homelessness at least by age 26. Foster care is also vulnerable for human trafficking. The connection is that the children who ran away from the care of social services were reported to the Center for Missing and Exploited children, an average estimated 19% (75,240 children) were likely victims of child sex trafficking. Link Thus the viability of foster homes is technically possible but is filled with trauma, disruption and inconsistencies which no child should have to endure.

Claim: Babies are being ripped out of the womb limb for limb

Fact: “Late term abortions are incredibly rare… Only 1.3% of abortions are performed in the United States Occour after the halfway mark….The vast majority. Of them are performed because of the mother’s life is at risk, or because the baby  has developed such a serious health defect that its wouldn’t survive outside of the womb.” “An OB-GYN and trained late term abortion provider Jennifer Gunter wrote a piece in Vox dismantling Trump’s Claim saying “Is it possible one or two women may have an abortion at 24 or 25 weeks in [states where it is legal] and not be for the health of the mother? Technically yes, but honestly I’ve never hear of it happening. People seem to forget when they talk about theoretical post-24 week abortion for personal reasons that a pregnant person would need $15,000 or more in cash.  Link “95.2% of all abortions occur during the first trimester at or before 14 week gestation”. “Dismemberment abortions account of approximately 6.5% of all abortions on average. And as pregnancy advances dismemberment makes up a progressively smaller percentage of all abortions, as doctors use other methods like labor induction,” “ 80% of abortions of abortions performed at 21 weeks of gestation or late is done surgically,”Link

Economy

Claim: The Economy went to hell under Biden

Fact: By economic measure the US economy was in excellent shape when Biden turned over the White House to trump. When Biden left office, the unemployment rate was a low 4.1% and during Biden’s 4 years in office the average jobless rate was lower than any president since 1960. By the time Biden left office inflation rate had fallen to just 2.9% down more than 2/3rds from its peak near the Federal Reserve’s Inflation goal. The nation's GDP growth has been impressive, rising at a solid 3.1% rate. Biden added 16.6 million jobs during his presidency more than during any four year team of a previous president. But in Trump’s first four year term the nation lost 2.7 million jobs overall. Link The numbers just show that the Biden economy is way better than under Trump.

Claim: Biden is the reason for the recession

Fact: As of March 11, 2025, Stocks have been “tumbling amid growing concerns over the economic impact of … Trumps tariffs….The stock market dip comes as the Trumps, administration is downsizing the federal workforce… 401Ks have dropped during Trumps presidency” Link —-Factors that influence 401K Permforance in 2024 is reliant on Market and stock market fluctuations …heightened due to various global and domestic economic factors and Federal policies and interest rates made by the federal reserve particularly regarding interest rates,” Link Bidens Economy was at an all time high. Trump’s import tariffs have plummeted the economy as Biden’s economy at the end of his presidency was much better than Trumps.

Ukraine/Russian War

Claim: Ukraine invaded Russia in the first place

Fact: “The full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia” began on “February 24,2022”. It “was the expansion of a war between the two countries that had begun in February 2014, when disguised Russian troops covertly invaded and took control of the Ukrainian autonomous republic of Crimea. In the following months, Russian troops and local proxies seized territory in Ukraine’s Donbas region, resulting in the ongoing fighting int he eastern Ukraine that killed more than 14,000 people prior to Russia’s 2022 invasion.”  Link There is no evidence that supports the claim that Russian invaded Ukraine.

Claim: Russia deserves the land back

Fact: Ukraines history is important to include in this conversation. “From the 14th to the 18th century, portions of Ukraine were ruled by Lithuania, Poland, and Russia. In addition, Cossacks controlled a largely self-governing territory known as the Hetmanate. Most of Ukraine fell to Russian rule in the 18th century. In the aftermath of World War I and the Rusian Revolution of 1917, most of the Ukrainian region became a republic of the Soviet Union, though parts of western Ukraine were divided between Poland, Romania, and Czechoslovakia. Ukraine suffered a severe famine, called the Holodomor, in 1932–33 under Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. Overrun by Axis armies in 1941 during World War II, Ukraine was further devastated before being retaken by the Soviets in 1944. By the end of the war, the borders of the Ukrainian S.S.R. had been redrawn to include the western Ukrainian territories.” In 1986 Ukraine was the site of the “Chernobyl accident at a Soviet-built nuclear power plant. [And] in 1991 Ukraine declared independence.” Link Needless to say, The Ukrainians people have had a strong independence and identity to the Ukraine that we know today. While Russia did absorbe “Crimea into its empire in the 18th century after one of its many wars with the Ottoman Empire… Crimea has a long history that has little to do with Russia or even Ukraine.” “Ukraine within its present borders, including the Russian-annexed territory of Crimea, is an internationally recognized state, and a member of the United Nations,…[as of] 1945”Link Just like any other independent country, Ukraine has the right to defend its borders, resist absorption to Russia, and stand independent of other entities, especially when its people are all for Ukraine remaining the country of Ukraine.

US Taking control of Gaza

Claim: Palestinians Should leave Gaza and Trump should take over

Fact: The “expulsion, imprisonment or killing of an ethnic minority by a dominating majority in order to achieve ethnic homogony” by definition is ethnic cleansing. Link “Trump’s suggestion caused shock waves across the world with some analysts and politicians comparing the proposal of displacing 2.2 million Palestinians to ethnic cleansing,” (Ben Goggin, NBC News, 28 Feb. 2025. Link At this current moment many Palestinians even if they wanted to leave cannot due to closed boarders. The main reason Palestinians should not leave Gaza is because it is their homeland. Their belongings, jobs, families and friends are all located in Gaza. Displacing Palestinians for Trumps gain of Gaza’s land to create a “Vegas” strip is not so far out of the question, and if that is done, it would immediately fall into ethnic cleansing by a United States official and be cited by the International Criminal Court for war crimes. No one deserves to be pushed out of their homeland, especially for the purpose of power, greed and money.

Education

Claim: The department of Education should be eliminated to have the funds go toward the states

Fact: The funds for education curriculum and salaries are already up to the states. The Department of education should stay intact for various reasons. The DOE only accounts for 4% of the the 6.8 trillion in overall federal spending. Link “The DOE ensures K-12 schools comply with federal laws in order to receive funding…Among other things, those laws protect students and teachers from discrimination and guarantees and education for those with disabilities. [DOE] oversees the country colleges and universities, most of which reviewed federal funding, by ensuring they are in compliance with federal statutes to ensure equal education opportunity for students, “regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age. It’s helping students afford college through administering  student aid, loans and grants. It’s also tracking education outcomes to determine where the most support is needed for students.Link The elimination of the DOE will further segregate schools and further marginalize already marginalized communities.

- The DOE was created in 1867 as a way to collect information on schools to help the country create effective school system. It was revised and expanded during World War II and subsequently the civil rights movement in the 1960s and 70s. But throughout it all it never strayed from its mission; to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness’s by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access. Link

-In 2024 fiscal year the DOE received 2% of the entire federal budget whic his $241.66 billion - which the majority of it goes to just one office- the office of federal student aid which receives 179.65billion in FY 2024. Link

-DOE departments will face uncertainty - PSLF (Public service Loan Forgiveness program will no longer have significant oversight, Title 1 funding distribution which provides critical resources to high poverty schools will no longer receive such oversight, special education grant montioring under the IDEA (Individuals with Disabilties Education Act will suffer.

- DOE supports and ensures children are receiving acces to their IEPs and their continued the entacykent 504 plans by the ADA. Pritivitizing education and dissolve the department of education it means millions of children loose their services. Private schools are not required to provide special education services to children. “7.3 million or 15% of disabled children make the national average in public schools” the average can go up to “20% of disabled children in a school depending on various states” Link

-DOE also legally ensures children are protected from discrimination through Title 9 and Title 6

-Title 1 schools receive funding through the DOE. Title 1 schools receive funding for low income schools to ensure a more equitable education for children all across America.

-While the argument does mention funding should be allocated to the states, this will inherently hurt the programs that the DOE currently upholds. If the DOE is diminished and funding is allocated only to the states, and private education is implemented as the new form of education, private schools have the right to deny Special Education students the right to an education, Students who are funded food programs through Title 1 schools will not receive those funds for those programs and go hungry, as the state will not use these as a first priority. Students will fall behind in many more ways than can be expected if the states take up the funds for these programs. Some may survive but many will not, ultimately creating a further divide and gap between students, all who have equal opportunity education through the DOE.

Claim: Teachers shouldn’t be paid more because they get 3 months off of work

Fact: While payroll schedules vary district to district, there is a general consensus that some districts allow their workers/teachers to “spread their 10-month salary over 12 months, while others don’t give any paycheck during the summer months, requiring teachers to budget, or in some cases, get a second job. Link While teacher yearly salaries vary from state to state and from school to school (i.e. Charter vs. Public) the NEA found that the national average teacher salary is $63,645. However, teacher’ economic position has worsened overtime. Inflation has eroded most teachers’ salary increase…” “The national median household income is $80,610 according to the most recent Census data. But in the largest U.S. cities, a single adult needs at least $85,000 to sustain a comfortable lifestyle while a family of four requires nearly $200,000.” Link “The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) notes that comparable  professionals with similar education earn higher salaries. Nationally teachers earn 19% less than similarly skilled and educated professionals. This “teaching penalty” has increased significantly over the 20 plus years” Link But after adjusting for inflation, the average of 50/30/20 budget rule where 50% of a households income is allocated to necessities, 30% to discretionary spending and 20% for long term, there is very little room for emergency funds, and even less for increased prices and an impending recession. Link Research shows that “among all public elementary and secondary school teachers in the US 16% [or 1 in 6] worked non-school summer jobs…[and] about the same share of teachers 18% had second jobs during the school year.” “On average a teacher's summer job earnings account for 7% of their total annual income…[and] Earnings from a second job during the school year make up an average of 9% of their income.” Link Another important point to note is that 94% of Teachers spend their own money on their student’s behalf. And Teachers don’t just work the allotted 6-7 hours per day. Many teachers work longer than the contracted day. “While seven hours is the contracted workday, teachers must do significant amounts of work such as grading papers and revising lesson plans on their own time afterschool and on weekends. As classes become larger and school districts change curriculums, this becomes arduous. Teachers are not often compensated for before and after school bus duty and other similar responsibilities. Stipends for coaching or advising clubs are modest at best. Link The workload that teachers have to handle often goes beyond the classroom, many of them unpaid. And with the option to spread their paycheck across all 12 months and pick up other jobs to fill their deficit, teachers deserve 3 months off because in reality, they work the amount of the three months of off time.

Claim: Schools are indoctrinating students to be LGBTQ+/Children are undergoing transgender surgery during the school day

Fact: “There is no evidence that a student has ever undergone gender affirming surgery. At school in the U.S., nor is there evidence that a U.S. school has sent a student to receive such a procedure elsewhere,” “Nearly 70% of public. K-12 teachers who have been teaching for more than one year said topics related to sexual orientation and gender identity ‘rarely or never’ come up in their classroom according to a …poll from the Pew Research center. Link Research has found that 1 in 5 (21%) say these topics came up sometimes and 8% say they come up extremely often. Link While many teachers never do more than put up a pride flag, “there is no evidence that seeing a pride flag or a safe space sticker will ‘turn’ a person gay. What it might do is make them feel supported enough that they are willing to ‘come out’ or share that aspect of their identity” [without having to fear for their safety]. The focus would be more productive if it meant students, ‘feel seen, safe and supported and can lead healthier lives as a result of having pride and confidence in their developing identities.” Link

Claim: Schools should put the 10 commandments in the classroom

Fact: It is noted that in Louisiana “H.B 71 requires that all public school classrooms display a specific version of the Ten Commandments” in 2024,Oklahoma’s “superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters…promised ‘to put God back in schools’” “Texas [instituted] 2023 S.B 763, [which] permits school districts to hire religious chaplains to assist with student counseling and other related duties with no certification requirements and without any prohibition of proselytizing,” and lastly, Texas “proposed K-5 Reading and Language Arts Curriculum…including this author, for overemphasizing Christianity at the expense of other religion and for incorporating biblical texts in ways that are both unnecessary and unwarranted” Link There are  In public schools based off of a 2023 research project, The Baker Institute with the Public Religion Research Institute found that 23% of students were Evangelical Protestant, 14% were non-evangelical Protestant, 22% are Catholic, 2% Jahovah’s Witness, 2% Jewish, 1% or less for Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Unitarian Universalist and other Non-Christian Religion, 4% are Atheist, 5% are Agnostic and 17% are Unaffiliated/Nothing in particular in terms of religious affiliation. In a country that is founded on religious freedoms, and the separation of church and state, it is only right for every child to have freedom of their own religion inside their public school system. This is also the reason that there are catholic and private schools, which many have the opportunity to attend. In another counter argument one could argue that a catholic person could be upset if the school mandated a poster with the verses from the Torah from Judaism, The Four Vedas from Hinduism, or verses from the Quran from Islamic religion. Another argument could be made that if the 10 commandments get to be put up in the classroom, then all religious texts and verses can be put up in the classroom as well to include all religions and uphold the foundation of this nation’s religious freedom.

Claim: Discussing Sexual Orientation or gender identity can make a child gay

Fact: “Experts said they are not aware of any research or evidence that increased exploration to topics such as gender and sexuality makes people more likely to join the LGBTQ community. Instead, it is likely an environment of increased acceptance allows children to more safely openly think about, question and discuss their gender identity and sexual orientation.”( Link ) Thus, it is not the discussion that makes them gay, but rather the open acceptance that allows the child/person to feel safe enough to come out.

Claim: Gay is a choice/No one is born gay

Fact: “ Across cultures 2% to 10% of people report having same-sex relations. In the U.S. 1 to 2.2% of women and men respectfully identify as gay. Despite these numbers, many people still consider homosexual behavior to be an anomalous choice. However biologists have documented homosexual behavior in more than…” Link “1,500 species…”Link  A Swedish study of twins in 2008 concluded that “[h]omosexual behaviour is largely shaped by genetics and random environmental factors” The APA (American Psychological Association), “concludes that most people experience little to no sense of choice about their sexual orientation.”  The American Academy of Pediatrics even stated “in 1993 (updated in 2004) that ‘homosexuality has existed in most societies for as long as recorded descriptions of sexual beliefs and practices have been available” Link There is even scientific documentation of homosexuality and the use of it within a species including lions, wolves, deer, seagulls, elephants, monkeys, dolphins, frogs, fish and insects, which includes humans as well. Uses of homosexuality can be anywhere from genetic basis, to social bonding, to sexual preference.

DOGE

Claim: Elon Musk is not the head of Doge

Fact: Trump stated at the State of the Union address that Elon Musk is the head of DOGE, the person who appointed Musk as the Head of DOGE on day one of his presidency. Musk has also frequently talked on the topic of heading DOGE and has on boarded his “ tech guys “ who dissolved departments of the government in efforts to find “waste, fraud and abuse” During the Congressional Speech of 2025, Trump said “I have created the brand new department of government efficiency, DOGE. Perhaps you’ve heard of it, perhaps, which is headed by Elon Musk who is in the gallery tonight…” Video Link (0:37) This verbal admission to the public about Elon’s heading of the DOGE, by the commander and chief of the United States of America is as factually true as can be.

Claim: They got rid of Trangender mice/$8 million for making mice transgender

Fact: There are no transgender mice. The mice that were being referenced were transgenic mice. Transgenic mice are genetically modified to study diseases and develop treatment for conditions such as cancer, heart disease, asthma, alzheimer's and diabetes. Despite some misconceptions, these mice are not transgender but genetically modified to study specific genetic functions. Their importance in biomedical research cannot be overstated and they continue to play a crucial role in advancing scientific knowledge and improving human health. “ Transgenic mice made it possible for scientist to study the role specific genes play in the body…” “In 2023 researches in the U.K. Added firefly genes to transgenic mice. When the mouse’s body activates a gene that’s involved in suppressing cancer cells…”Link

Trump Administration

Claim: Those were not war plans on Signal/Signalgate leak

Fact: It is a fact that Pete Hegseth said “Nobody was texting war plans and that’s all I have to say about that.” Link Along with many other top officials in the White House including the President, claiming there was no classified information that was written in text, citing Trump’s words, there “was no classified information as I understand it”. The denial of the use of war plans is a matter of semantics in terms of the larger picture. War includes attacks, and attacks with the threat of a bomb, like what happened in Yemen, could instantly spark a war. Therefore we are a degree away from the use of the term ‘war plans’ which makes it not so far fetched. This is why. There were surprise attacks, planned attacks, that would have put American pilots in danger. “If this information—particularly the exact times American Aircraft were taking off for Yemen — had fallen into the wrong hands in that crucial two-hour period, American pilots and other American personnel could have been exposed to even greater danger than they ordinarily would face,”Link , and orders/plans of these steps that would need to be kept secret to uphold their safety.  In the “United States, classified national security information is defined by “information created or received by an agency of the federal government or a government contractor that would damage national security if improperly released.” Regardless of Medium, classified information requires protection until it is formally declassified.” Link Now looking back to the war plans on signal.  “A war plan develops a concept to win a war militarily and politically; it is the detailed ways and means of an overarching strategy.” Link In this signal messaging thread, the message reads “TEAM UPDATE: TIME NOW (1144et): Weather is FAVORABLE. Just CONFIRMED w/ CENTCOM we are GO for mission launch.  1215et: F-18s LAUNCH (1st strike package)  1345: “Trigger Based” F-18 1st Strike Window Starts (Target Terrorist is @ his Known Location so SHOULD BE ON TIME) — also, Strike Drones Launch (MQ-9s).  1410: More F-18s LAUNCH (2nd strike package)  1415: Strike Drones on Target (THIS IS WHEN THE FIRST BOMBS WILL DEFINITELY DROP, pending earlier “Trigger Based” targets). 1536: F-18 2nd Strike Starts — also, first sea-based Tomahawks launched. MORE TO FOLLOW (per timeline) We are currently clean on OPSEC. Godspeed to our Warriors.” Sent by Pete Hegseth in the Signal Chat of 19 members named Houthi PC small group including the names of (Michael Waltz, Scott B., Walker Barrett, Brian, Pete Hegseth, Jacob, Dan Katz, Joe Kent, S M, MAR, MAR, Mike Needham, John Radcliffe, Susie Wiles, TG (Assumed to be Tulsi Gabbard), JD Vance, Steve Witkoff and Alex Wong)” with disappearing messages put on for 1 week and then set to disappearing message time to 4 weeks by Mike Waltz Link This matter has also been assigned to a court judge and is going to go to court. One has to think that unclassified information would not be brought to lawsuit or court without substantial evidence of wrongdoing, but classified information used in a unprotected chat room would be subject to such matters. Judge James Bowsberg has been assigned to the lawsuit regarding Signalgate filed by American Oversight against Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabber, John Radcliffe and others saying that their messaging via signal is a violation of the Federal Records Act on 3/25. It alleges that by using the signal chain to talk about highly confidential classified military war plans that these officials violated the act. The Federal Records act is essentially “record-keeping laws designed to ensure the public has access to the workings of its government.” Link This also directly contradicts the statements of the Trump administration and top officials who claim that there were no war plans disclosed in the Signal Chat. While the term ‘war plans’ may not be statements of exactness as war was not declared by Congress at this time, these were plans that were deemed too sensitive that leaking them could have put lives and the nation's security in danger, and has been brought to the federal courts because it has been deemed as ‘war plans’ and a risk to our national security. These plans were also too sensitive that the officials apart of this Signal group chat would not hand over the messages to the Senate Oversight Committee in the hearing on March 25, 2025  By those measures it's clear that these plans would have been classified in any other matter purely off of the standard of the surprise attack on Yemen and the use of weapons to roll out these attacks.

LGBTQ+/Transgender

Claim: Drag Queens have flashed children and were arrested for child pornography

Fact: This claim is false. “The performer in this 2019 photograph was wearing several layers of nude tights. There were no exposure to the children.”—“Unedited versions of the image showed the performer was wearing opaque nude tights that covered their genitals,” (Link)

Fact: “The man who was arrested on child pornography charges last year has previously run a separate organization that acted as a nonprofit fiscal sponsor of a Drag Queen Story Hour’s Milwaukee Chapter. But he never worked for Drag Queen Story Hour, nor did he help plan its events,” — “The headline [for this claim] appeared in the headlined on conservative websites,” —“The story refers to Brett Blomme, a Milwaukee County County Children’s Court Judge in march 2021 who was arrested and charged with 7 counts of Child pornography” ( Link )

Claim: LGBTQ parents are not good parents

Fact: “Fears about children of lesbian or gay parents being sexually abused by adults, ostracized by peers or isolated in single- sex lesbian or gay communities have received no scientific support.” —“Overall, results of research — do not differ markedly from that of children with heterosexual parents” ( Link )

Claim: Trans people are sexually assaulting people in bathrooms

Fact: “Conservative groups have claimed more than 100 possible cases to argue against transgender rights, but the vast majority of the these incidents have involved non-transgender men violating women’s spaces” ( Link )

Immigration

Claim: ICE is only taking  Immigrants

Fact: New Immigration and Customs Enforcement data shows the trump administration isn’t just arresting criminals. “The Trump administration has promised to prioritize the ‘worst first’ when it comes to arrest and deportations but the number of detainees in Immigration and customs enforcement custody without criminal convictions or pending criminal charges increased by more than 1,800 in the first two weeks of February, representing 41% of the 4,422 total new detainees in that period” Link It is also documented that American citizens, including Native Americans citizens of tribal nations have been targeted and questioned by ICE, and even a US citizen and Puerto Rician citizen was detained by ICE before being released. Link These are only two of the numerous cases of unspoken detentions of citizens and immigrants on their way to citizenship by process.

Claim: ICE is only deporting immigrants

Fact: ICE is currently targeting students here on visa or naturalized for speaking out in protest of world conflicts such as Palestinian and Israeli or Ukraine and Russia. Such students such as Mahmoud Khalil and Rumeysa Ozturk both of who voiced this concerns and thier disapproval of the current administrations actions within these issues. Under the first amendment, people within the United States have the freedom of speech.

Claim: They’re only taking dangerous criminals

Fact: “data shows administration isn’t just arresting criminals.  According to the data, only 13% of those currently in ICE detention are on track for “expedited removal,” a designation indicating they can be deported without having a court hearing. The remaining 87% are facing deportation proceedings which could last for months or even years.” Link “Recent ICE operations under the Trump administration have intensified, resulting in nearly 1,200 daily arrests, with almost half involving individuals without criminal records.” “figures closer to 1,200. Among these, only 52%—just 613 individuals—were considered “criminal arrests.” The other nearly half included individuals whose only violation was their immigration status.” Link  On the basis of dangerous criminals, it was reported “The Americans Immigration Council also found that compared crime data to demographic data from 1980 to 2022, the most recent data available. The data showed that as the immigrant share of the population grew, the crime rate declined. In 1980, immigrants made up 6.2 percent of the U.S. population, and the total crime rate was 5,900 crimes per 100,000 people. By 2022, the share of immigrants had more than doubled, to 13.9 percent, while the total crime rate had dropped by 60.4 percent, to 2,335 crimes per 100,000 people. Specifically, the violent crime rate fell by 34.5 percent and the property crime rate fell by 63.3 percent.” Link

Claim: Coming into the country without going through the proper channels is Illegal/Well they should come here legally

Fact: Proper channels can take a long time. In order to come to this country legally, you must have a spouse that is a US citizen, parent of a US citizen who is at least 21 years old, unmarried child under the age of 21 in the US. If brand new to the United States, you must have permanent residence for 3-5 years in the US before applying for permanent citizenship. You also have to pass the citizenship test as well. Many, if not all, new people to the United States aspire to be a citizen but it is timely, expensive and it can cost upwards of $10,000-$25,000 and take up to 20 years in some cases between delays and stops within the process that is out of the hands of the applicant. Link You can be rejected even if you have no criminal history, you have a job and are an upstanding prospective citizen. Many immigrants take the proper channels and do everything on time, only to get denied.

Medicaid

Claim: Medicaid is just government waste spending

Fact: “CMS (Center for Medicine and Medicaid Services) defines waste as overusing service or other practices that result in unnecessary costs to the program. CMS defines Abuse as when health care providers or suppliers perform actions that directly or indirectly result in unnecessary cost of any healthcare benefit program. Link “ As of 2024 there were over 79 million Americans enrolled in the joint federal and state programs of Medicaid that provides health care coverage to low income individuals and families. An accurate report from October 2024 found that “the program reported that 79.4 million people were enrolled in Medicaid across the U.S. That included 41.7 million adults enrolled in Medicaid and 37.6 million child and Children’s Health Insurance program enrollees,” Link Medicaid is. “$900 billion program funded by both the federal government and individual states with each state administering its own eligibility, benefits and payment rates..” With about 341 million people living in the United States, the number of people on Medicaid is roughly 23% of the population. Saying that Medicaid is just government waste, is taking away the sometimes life saving medical care of millions of individuals. Some individuals even plead that if Medicaid is cut, their families, loved ones and even children could die without the funds and health care coverage provided by Medicaid.

Claim: Tariffs won’t affect anyone in the US

Fact: With the “Dow dropping 2% and the Nasdaq losing 4%”, its clear that the trade war, especially tariffs are affecting the United States from increased prices to affects on 401Ks. “Periods of high political uncertainty and negative economic growth are correlated” Link “A tariff is a type of tax levied by a country on an imported good at the border…A tariff increases the prices of imports. Due to that, consumers may choose to buy other relatively less expensive domestic goods instead… economist argue that tariffs create market distortions that can harm consumers over time.” Link Essentially the Consumer pays for the tariffed products because the company relays that payment from the imported goods to the people to not loose money. So, yes Tariffs will affect everyone in the US, especially Lumbar, alcohol, produce (avocado, bananas, oranges, and fruits especially in the the southern regional countries from the United States)

Freedom of Speech

Claim: Mahmoud Khalil was anti-Semitic and should have been arrested for Pro-Palestinian Protests

Fact: The Constitutional First Amendment free speech from government restrictions. This is an infringement of his first amendment right as a legal and permanent citizen and green card holder of the United States. In terms of Trump being in favor of Jewish people, “98 [Jewish] protestors were arrested at Trump Tower sit in for detained activist Mahmoud Khalil.” Link This was never about being for or against Judaism or Jewish people but rather was used as a ploy to suppress free speech on the backs of a politicized issue.

Trump

Claim: Trump is not a criminal

Fact: Trump has 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree. Link He has a total of 88 felony counts across 4 court cases and 34 counts of being found guilty. He has a case as well of conspiracy to obstruct justice. He has charges of scheme to conceal, concealing documents in a federal investigation, withholding a document or record, false statements and representations, federal Jan 6 case, conspiracy to defraud the United States and more.” Link

Claim: Trump is not responsible for Jan 6th

Fact:  “The Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol was the culmination of months of false claims about election fraud, including a litany recited by then-President Donald Trump in a speech shortly before a mob stormed the building, temporarily halting the counting of electoral votes in a joint session of Congress.” Link “The Jan 6th bipartisan committee found that Trump was the central cause for the Jan 6th capitol attack” Link

Claim: Trump is not racist

Fact: “The justice department sued his company twice for not renting to black people.” “In 1992 Trump Plaza and Hotel was charged $200 thousand in a court case for escorting specifically black card dealers out of the casino at the certain request of a big spender.” “He refused to condem white supremacist supporting him” “he questioned there Obama was born in the US”, “He treats racial groups as monoliths… calling them “the blacks””, “ saying [about native americans] “they don’t look like Indians to me”, “he condones the beating of Black Lives Matter protestors” “he encouraged the mob justice that resulted in the wrongful imprisonment of the Central Park five… they should be forced to suffer and when they kill, they should be executed for their crimes” “he stereotyped Jews and shared anti semitic meme created by white supremacists” Link

Claim: Trump is not a rapist

False: Trump in April 2023 that aimed to prove he not only falsified 34 financial records "with intent to defraud" — in this instance, to mask a hush money payment made to [Stormy] Daniels in the final days of his 2016 presidential election — but that he did so in order to conceal a second crime, which elevated the charges from misdemeanors to felonies.”

Claim: Trump is making America Great Again
