GRAPHIC BUILDINGS, WHITEFRIARS, E.C.4.

March 17 [1925].

Dear  Mr de László,

I have had a rather bad cold; this the [sic] reason why I have not written before. The Graphic numbers containing the portrait of the Pope [6690] were sent to the three addresses in Rome after publication.[1]

There has been some misunderstanding with regard to the photos of the landscapes. Miss Russell ran the Graphics up and asked them to send a photographer. As I was absent they sent their photographer not knowing what for; and he came back with 4 photos of the landscapes in their frames and not taken for reproduction in colours. These photos are, of course, of no use whatever.

As a matter of fact I shall have to wait with this article as people are very slow in deciding for coloured reproduction and to have the pictures in black and white would be of no use. I am thinking of preparing a book on your work and I shall insert the article on your landscapes and subject painting in the book.

I hope you have had a good rest and am looking forward to seeing you here soon.

Kindly give my respects to Mrs de Làszló and believe me with kindest regards | Yours very sincerely
