DLA018-0032 Transcription; partial letter
Don’t forget the Cohen show at Walker’s Galleries, 118, New Bond Street – it closes on the 15th.[1] I much want to know what you think of it. The gallery, by the way, closes at 5.P.M.
I hope Lucy was not attempting the Channel passage yesterday. We had a tearing gale here and I imagine the sea must have been unpleasantly rough.
Au revoir | always yours
A.L.B.
Editorial Note:
Alfred Lys Baldry (1858-1939), British artist and art critic who authored several articles on de László and who was a close family friend; for biographical notes, see [3562].

[1] Isaac Michael Cohen (1884-1951), Australian artist. Baldry is likely referring to a one-man show of Cohen’s portraits, which was held at the Walker’s Galleries in October and November of 1929 (the exhibition closed on 15th November; for a review, see “The Joy of Youth in Portraiture: charming work on view in London”, Illustrated London News, 2 November 1929, p. 23).
