ART CONTESTS and Art EVENTS for Enloe students

Every year Enloe participates in a variety of art contests and events from local up to the national level.  Contests are a great way to earn money, get recognition, and build self-esteem.

Below are some of the opportunities we will be participating in in the 2018-19 school year.

ALL YEAR Masterpiece of the Month - Students compete amongst themselves for local recognition on the loedown, bragging rights, a certificate, and for art supplies.

September

  • Sparkcon-downtown Raleigh.  Sidewalk drawing competition 9/14-15  Art club will create 2 squares. LINK
  • NC State Fair; artists can enter individually, and 6 artists will be selected to represent Enloe, CA$H prizes and ribbons.  Online entry due 9/15     LINK TO FAIR   

                       

OCTOBER

  • 11th Philharmonic Association Art Invitational DUE 10/10

$100 1st,AND publication on cover of program,  $75 2nd, $50 3rd, $25 Honorable Mention-all winners’ art displayed       -music themed

(note -teachers can only submit 3 entries)

  • NC State Fair -13th-23th, ART DUE 10/5-7

-Prizes; ribbons, rosettes, plaques, and money.

  • Poster contest for International compost Awareness Week

  • Scholastic-One of the biggest most prestigious art competitions.  Starts regional, selected few make it to a national level. Deadline in December

  • More than $3.25 million in scholarships are available to graduating seniors who earn national medals through the Alliance Scholarship Provider Network. February-March

  • Gifts of Gold-Wake County, downtown gallery show, more info. to come (Art due 2/1) Each teacher chooses 1 work of art

April

  • Wake County Board show

Several artists will be selected to represent ENLOE at a county art show for the Wake County School Board- runs the month of April at 5625 Dillard Drive, Cary (Crossroads building)
