PROBLEM

Need to recreate a Keynote presentation in PowerPoint and converting the file is not working

SOLUTION

On a Mac, add .zip extension in place of the .key extension on the end of the file name. Double-click the zip file and a folder with all media assets with all media assets be inside. Drag any images or media to the Desktop for viewing or reuse.

BONUS: Adding .zip instead of .pptx extensions on PC files should allow you to extract images from a PowerPoint 2010 file as well.
