52, RUE DE CHAILLOT
Paris
18th April 1905
Dear Mr. Laszlo,
It was a great pleasure to hear from you again, and I am only sorry that you had to go to Abbazia because of your health. But this is now in the past, and I hope that you are now quite well again. I know that you have achieved a lot of beautiful work, and I saw a lovely photograph of the picture of Princess Pauline Metternich [110466] at the Countess Castellane. [illegible words] this picture [illegible] will be exhibited in our chateau. We had a rather quiet winter.
Unfortunately my son Guiche[1] is not coming in May, and we don’t see him very often.
He is very happy and his little wife[2] is [illegible] to have such a gifted husband. He is painting every day and also occupies himself with the sciences. My daughters are also well. The Countess Clermont Tonnerre is at present in Spa [illegible] with her husband.[3] My daughter Noailles[4] is here. Louis-René[5] has spent the holidays here, but after Easter he is returning to Oxford, where he will [illegible] until July. We are thinking of going to Vallière during the first days of July and I hope you will soon [illegible] come over only in June. Write to me [illegible] so that I can make myself [illegible] my time will come to an end.
With affectionate greetings,
Duchess de Gramont.
