“Our chaotic, confused world has no greater need than to hear the message of good news - the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who was able to join us for our Remembrance Day liturgy last Friday, especially the veterans, active military members and those in uniformed occupations, whose presence helped make our liturgy so meaningful and special. It is always one of the best assemblies of the year. Thanks again for being a part of it.
School Council Meeting
The St. Stephen Catholic School Council will be holding their next meeting on Tuesday, November 15th. The agenda for the meeting can be found here. All interested parents are welcome to attend the meeting, which will begin in the school staff room at 6:30pm. More information about the council can be found at: http://ste.ocsb.ca/catholic-school-council.
The girls volleyball teams were thrilled to compete in their tournament last week and now we are very excited to be hosting the boys volleyball tournament at our school on Thursday, November 17th. The students are so excited to be representing the school. We look forward to seeing parents who are attending the event, and welcoming the other schools to St. Stephen Catholic School. Go Stallions!
A reminder that Friday, November 18th is a PD Day. There will be no school that day as the teachers will be participating in a variety of professional development activities.
Our School Council has organized another fundraising evening at the McDonald’s at 1250 Stittsville Main Street, on Wednesday, November 16th. Between 4 and 8 pm, present the form that was sent home with the students on Monday, and 20% of the total of your meal purchase will go towards supporting School Council initiatives. Purchases can be made in the McDonald’s or at the Drive-thru. Thanks for your support.
Gospel Values Assembly
On Thursday, November 24th, we will be holding our first Gospel Values Assembly of the year, at 10:05am in the gym. We will be presenting certificates to those who were selected from each class as students who demonstrate the need for, and importance of, love and community in their daily actions.
