The Utah Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, Chambers of Commerce, and their partners are pleased to recognize outstanding contributions that promote employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The award recipients will be recognized for their contributions at an afternoon event and awards ceremony.
All nominations must be typed or printed legibly. The Nomination Form, including 300 words or less narrative, and letters of support may be mailed to Golden Key Awards, 1595 West 500 South, SLC, Utah 84104, or returned electronically to leahlobato@utah.gov. Employers of the Year (specify size of company) – outstanding contributions and practices that improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Some of the practices include: efforts made to provide accommodations, training for managers, supervisors, or line staff to ensure effective working relationships, commitment to hire people with disabilities, advancement opportunities within the company, efforts to promote positive awareness among all employees.
O Small Employers (Less than 50 employees)
O Medium Employers (50 – 500 employees)
O Large Employers (Over 500 employees)
Ace Award – business partners or citizens who actively promote public and private efforts to achieve equal employment opportunities for all qualified Utahns with disabilities; or a successful employee with a disability who has overcome tremendous obstacles.
Media Award – TV, radio, print, and electronic media that raises public awareness and/or promotes opportunities for people with disabilities.
Freedom Award – employers who recruit and hire our newest disabled veterans from recent conflicts.
Please keep your nomination to 300 words or less.
Describe how the nominee has met the criteria for the nomination category. Be specific in describing the reasons why this individual, employer, or organization should be recognized. Provide examples of how the specific criteria have been met; include scope of accomplishments, number of hires, etc. (Employers of the Year nominees must submit at least one letter of support from a current employee.)

We are now accepting nominations for these prestigious awards.
The categories are:
