Greetings ____________,

My child is a student at ______________ school / I am a tax-paying resident of _________________ School District. I am writing to inquire about what books you currently have in your library collection related to Palestine and Israel, and to request a list of books to be added if they are not represented. Currently there is a profound humanitarian crisis happening in Palestine, as Palestinian adults and children are being killed, starved, dehumanized, and displaced by Israeli Occupation Forces. As you know, libraries are a core part of community education, and an invaluable resource when it comes to our collective understanding of the historical truths that have led to our present realities.

For these reasons, can you please provide me with a list of books that you currently have in your catalog related to and/or written by authors from both Palestine and Israel? Additionally, here is a link to a list of relevant books that I am requesting be added to your collection if they are not already included.

Thank you for the important work you do in being a guardian and provider of truth so that our community can continue to be as knowledgeable as possible about these grave circumstances. If you would like to have a deeper discussion about this, please let me know. I am in relationship with a group of local community members who have a wealth of knowledge on this issue based on personal experience, and who would be more than willing to offer additional insights as to why these texts below are imperative to have in any library collection.

Thank you again, and I look forward to hearing from you soon,
