News Deconstruction

Simply complete this form (make a copy and edit). It asks you to watch a local news broadcast from start to finish and answer questions. Be sure to write in complete sentences and use broadcast terms. You will turn this in on Google Classroom.

Individual Critiques

This assignment asks you to choose two individual NSPA winners and critique them using this form (make a copy and edit).  You can choose any category from any year using this link. This is a fun assignment and very simple. Watch the latest episode of CNN 10 and write down 5 facts you learned while watching. Use this form to fill in those facts. Be sure to include what episode you watched. You will turn this in on Google Classroom.

Current Event

This assignment will ask you to read a current event that does NOT relate to the Coronavirus. As with any current event, you will need to include 2 paragraphs, both 5-8 sentences: the first paragraph will explain what the current event is and the second paragraph will explain how the current event relates to you or Richland Northeast High School. 6 Shot 6 word story

This is a fun short film activity. You can produce it with your phone (no vertical video though!). Essentially, produce a short film that contains 6 words and 6 unique and different shots. Be creative! This website has tons of examples. Have fun with this one. You will turn this in on Google Classroom.
