Course Description

The student will learn about the language and culture of Mexico through studying the general history of Mexico during the decades from the 20th to the 21st century.

Topic: The counterrevolution and the “cristero” movements

Topic: Cardenismo (educated and political economy)

Activity: Group presentation and revision of the individual investigations

Course Evaluation

The student will give oral presentations in class on topics researched in public libraries and from the bibliography. At the end of the course the student will turn in a written essay with a minimum of 7 written pages (in Spanish) and a bibliography that should include a minimum of 7 sources.
