Wisconsin Electrathon and Supermileage at UW-Stout

Event Schedule (times subject to change!)

Menomonie Municipal Airport, April 20 & 21, 2018

Friday, April 20th                ALL EVENTS at Menomonie Municipal Airport (1400 Indian Head Dr. E, Menomonie, WI 54751)

7:00 a.m.         Volunteers arrive for set-up

8:30 a.m.                        Teams arrive

Gate will be opened and volunteers will direct parking inside the airport

8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.                Safety Inspections

Must complete inspection before braking and maneuverability can be attempted. Following completion of inspections, cars impounded at registration (BUS) until 3:00 when YOUR TEAM will move them to car show area.

11:30 a.m.                        Drivers Meeting & Track Discussion - Drivers AND Advisors

                                        

12:30 p.m.                        Judges Meeting

1:30 – 3:00 p.m.                Judging Begins

Panel of judges includes Professors and Tech Ed majors

                                        Judging: Interviews, Vehicles, Engineering Notebooks

                                        (Time dependent on car count)

3:00 p.m.                        Staging for car show in front of bus

                                All team meeting (advisors and students)

3:00 – 3:30 p.m.                Car show

3:30 – 4:30 p.m.                Electrathon Heat #1 (mandatory 1-minute pit stop required)

4:30 p.m.                        Open house (Let us know ahead of time if interested in Stout tour)

Students and volunteers free to walk around

                                Ask questions, provide insight, networking

                                Traveling teams free to leave

                                Possible advisors and volunteers meeting

5:30 p.m.                        Open house ends

Saturday, April 21th                ALL EVENTS at Menomonie Municipal Airport

6:00 - 7:00 a.m.        Volunteers arrive to set up course

6:30 – 7:00 a.m.                        Teams arrive

                                        Parking and entrance to the airport will be discussed on Friday

7:00 – 7:30 a.m.        Drivers meeting and track orientation (mandatory)

7:45 a.m.                        Electrathon volunteer meeting with Electrathon coordinator (Lap

Counters & Pit Timers)

Each team must provide one volunteer per Electrathon car registered.

7:45 a.m.                        NO more Cars/Trucks allowed to enter the center of the track

                                        Pedestrians only - walk across track when allowed (should not be needed)

8:00 - 9:00 a.m.                        Electrathon Heat #2 (mandatory 1-minute pit stop required)

8:45 a.m.                        Supermileage begins staging/fueling.

9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.                Supermileage Heats

                                        (Ending time dependent on car count, 2:00 p.m. is latest)

10:45 a.m.                        Electrathon volunteer meeting with Electrathon coordinator on bleachers. (Lap

Counters & Pit Timers)

Each team must provide one volunteer per Electrathon car registered.

11:00 a.m.                        Electrathon Heat #3 ??? (discuss during advisor meeting on Friday if this heat is needed/wanted)

                                        No more than 10 cars on the track at a time, Supermileage runs may be limited

1:45 p.m.                        Electrathon volunteer meeting with Electrathon coordinator on bleachers. (Lap

Each team must provide one volunteer per Electrathon car registered.

2:00 - 3:00 p.m.                        Electrathon Heat #4 (if needed; discussed in adviser meeting.. Otherwise cleanup 2pm instead of 3pm)

3:00 - 3:30 p.m.                        Clean-up of pit stalls and track

                                Tabulation of results

3:30 p.m.                        Awards Ceremony - Supermileage and Electrathon

4:00 p.m.        Final Clean up, all teams to clean up their own pit areas and be sure NOTHING is left behind.  Post-event penalties for non-compliance could be levied.

4:30 p.m.        Volunteers finish clean-up, barricades returned, done at airport
