Configuring Scatter
First, either download Scatter Desktop (Beta), or the Scatter Web Extension for Chrome.
After installing the extension, click the icon in your toolbar to open it up:
Create a new password for your Scatter wallet:
Write down your Scatter wallet mnemonic in case you need to recover your wallet later on:
Click on ‘Key Pairs’ so we can add a new key pair to your wallet:
Here you can either input the private key of an existing key pair you have, OR you can have Scatter generate a new key pair (recommended for Junglenet). Click ‘Save’ when you are done:
After saving your key pair, it should look like this in the list:
Next, click the ‘Gear Icon’ to open the settings, and click on ‘Networks’, click ‘New’ and enter the following information before clicking ‘Save’:
Name: Junglenet
Protocol: https
Host: jungle.eosio.cr
Port: 443
Chain ID: 038f4b0fc8ff18a4f0842a8f0564611f6e96e8535901dd45e43ac8691a1c4dca
Important:
Go back to the main screen and click on ‘Identities’ and click the `Edit` button on the existing default.
Select the ‘Junglenet’ network from the dropdown along with your desired key pair, and click ‘Import’ to select your account / permission.
Important: We recommend you only import the @active permission.
You are now setup in Scatter and ready to log into Chintai.
Create a new password for your Scatter wallet:
Write down your mnemonic phrase and accept the end user agreement:
Enter an identity name and click ‘Continue’:
Click ‘Skip’ when asked to import a blockchain account. For the scope of this tutorial we will be working on the Jungle net, and this step would attempt to import a main net account.
Click on ‘Blockchains’, followed by ‘Networks’, then the ‘Plus’ button to add a new network configuration for the Junglenet. Use the following network information:
Name: Junglenet
Host: jungle.eosio.cr
Port: 443
Protocol: https
Chain ID: 038f4b0fc8ff18a4f0842a8f0564611f6e96e8535901dd45e43ac8691a1c4dca
After you finish entering all of the information including the Chain ID, the configuration will auto-save and you can proceed to the next step.
First, give the key pair a name. Then complete one of the options below:
Important:
Click on ‘Fetch Accounts’ and select the ‘@active’ permission for your account.
Important: We recommend only importing the ‘@active’.
You are now setup in Scatter and ready to log into Chintai.
Logging into Chintai
Start by visiting the Junglenet frontend for Chintai: https://jungle.chintai.io/ and clicking ‘Login’:
Select your Identity and click ‘Accept’:
You should see a welcome message indicating your successful login:
If it’s your first time logging in, you’ll need to add Chintai as a trusted application by clicking ‘Link’:
In the next popup, click on your identity and then your account name/permission to log into and you should see the welcome message indicating a successful login:
Creating a Junglenet EOS account
Visit the following link on cryptolions’ website: http://jungle.cryptolions.io/#account to create your account.
Important: Don’t send any funds from the main net to your new account!
After you create your account, send it some EOS from the faucet so you’ll have some EOS to use on Chintai: http://jungle.cryptolions.io/#faucet
