FINA Code of Conduct

FINA, The Federation of International Ninja Athletics, is committed to providing a competitive, safe, fun, and fair environment for all participants, regardless of geographical location or gym.  We want our entire organization to share this vision for the sport of ninja.  To achieve this goal, we have expectations for the FINA organization that our Partner Gyms and Athletes may trust us to abide.  For the purposes of this Code of Conduct, “FINA” refers to all employees and volunteers at an official FINA produced event

• FINA will treat each participant (including, but not limited to: athletes, coaches, officials, parents, gyms owners, or volunteers) with respect and dignity.
• FINA will prioritize athlete safety at all times*
• FINA will not disparage, insult, or demonstrate/encourage any other type of unsportsmanlike behavior towards any league,  gym, coach, athlete, official, or volunteer.
• FINA will work to set a good example with regards to words and actions, keeping in mind that they are demonstrating appropriate behavior to all who are attending.
• FINA will work to create a positive and encouraging competition environment for all athletes.
• FINA will uphold the Spirit of the Obstacle and work to create courses that help to demonstrate the best ability of the athletes.

*In the event that a FINA Athlete, Partner Gym employee, or Partner Gym is involved in a legal situation that may impact the safety (whether real or perceived) of the Athletes, Partner Gyms, or FINA organization, create an undue distraction to the event, competition, or sport of Ninja, or have a potential negative impact on the reputation of FINA, its events, or affiliates, FINA reserves the right to temporarily remove the Athlete or Partner Gym in question (and request the removal of the Partner Gym Employee, if applicable) from FINA events, without prejudice, until the legal process has fully played out.  Once the legal situation has been resolved, adjudicated, or ruled on, FINA will make a final determination on any potential future involvement of the named Athlete, Partner Gym employee, or Partner Gym in question.
