With your child’s safety a priority at Buckley Community Schools, we are pleased to share our new visitor management system.
The new system requires all visitors to be “buzzed” into the building. Although this may be viewed as a minor inconvenience, it is intended to help keep students and staff in a secure environment.
How does this affect you and your student?
1. All school doors will be locked around the building. Staff have fobs to enter during the day.
2. The front doors will be unlocked to the vestibule at all times for you to enter and “buzz in”. During normal arrival and dismissal times, the front doors will be unlocked briefly to avoid crowding students, staff and parents in this area.
3. Once the school day begins, the doors will be locked and all visitors required to press the call button to enter the school.
4. Upon entering the school, you must report to the office and follow visitor procedures.
5. If your child has after school activities, please make arrangements to pick them up at the door closest to the activity. Doors will all be locked and no staff available after 4:15 to let you in the front doors.
Thank you for your support as this new procedure begins at Buckley. Working together we can keep our children and community in a safer place.

*Please take note that you may not drop your child off before 7:45 a.m.
*Please do NOT park in the roundabout where other cars are trying to drop off.
*Starting this Monday parents are no longer allowed to walk your child down the hallway! Please say your goodbyes at the office door.
* Pick-up for grades K-6th is in the small gym. This is where you will sign out your younger students.
*When picking up your child, please do not park in the road! And drive SLOWLY!
*Please be on time! Being late or rushed only starts the day off badly for the students.
*Public library hours are Monday - Thursday 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Students are not to wait after school for the library to open. Thank you:)
Please remember that when your student is taking an alternate way home, or they have to leave early, YOU MUST WRITE A NOTE AND SEND IT IN THE MORNING WITH EACH OF YOUR CHILDREN! YOU MUST PLEASE place the child’s first and last name(We have lots of kids with the same names), the homeroom teacher, date needed, the address to where they will be going (many students have grandparents that we don’t know who they are or where they live:), and your phone number. Taking these steps will help ensure your child will get to the correct place. Thank you for your cooperation. We will no longer be taking bus notes by phone unless it is an emergency. We are just trying to get everyone including staff on the same page, so it is easier understood. Thank you:)
