Attention Seniors: Please check the list posted in the guidance office or in your English or Civics class to see if you are required to attend the scholarship program on Tuesday, May 9. If there is an X by your ID number please be in the senior high gymnasium by 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9. Students are expected to follow school dress code for the awards night. Remember that these people are investing in your future. Represent yourself well. This list will be updated as more organizations contact the guidance office. Please check frequently. Updates to the list will be marked in RED.

At the Fresh/Soph Black Diamond Conference Championship, the Boys finished in 3rd place and the girls finished in 8th place. The Boys had top finishes by Theron Smith (1st in Pole Vault), the 4x100m Relay (2nd Place), and Hunter Braden (2nd in the 2 mile and 1 mile run). The girls had top finishes by Breanna Bowers (1st in Discus) and Rebecca Bowers (3rd place in the Discus).
The boys next meet will be Wednesday at Carmi and the girls next meet will be Thursday at Fairfield!
High School Honors Program will be at 1:00 p.m. on May 5th.
High School Spring MAP Testing will be May 1-4. It is imperative to be in attendance on the day your class is testing. Teachers: please see updated dates and schedules in the Google MAP Document.
There will be a meeting at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the Jr. High Gym for Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors interested in playing football in the fall.
Attention Seniors: Your help is needed and we can help you! There are a few home softball games left and we need concession stand workers. Looking for some community service hours? This will count! See Mrs. Lueke for details. There is a home game tonight.
FCA/YFC will be having their annual Lip Syne Battle on May 5th. It will be at 6:00 p.m. at McLeansboro First General Baptist Church. Sign up sheet is posted outside of Mrs. Ragan’s room. Please sign up by May 4th. Come out for a great time!!
Interact will be having a bake sale during Lunches A and B on Wednesday, April 26 and Thursday, April 27. Bring $1 and enjoy a sweet treat. Proceeds will go to the Amy Center in Mt. Vernon which serves abused children.
Interact will be having a Hat Day on Friday, April 28, with the proceeds going to the Amy Center in Mt. Vernon.
Spring Concert will be tonight at 7:00 p.m. Deep South will be catering a meal from 4:30 - 6:30 before the concert. Everyone is welcome to come eat and enjoy the concert. Dinner tickets are $10.
Prom tickets to Juniors and Seniors will be on sale during both lunches today. Tickets are $30 for an individual; $50 for a couple. The ticket price includes a meal provided by Deep South. Please see Mrs. Folden with any questions.
Attention Interact Members: The list of students eligible for the Interact cookout during Lunches A and B on May 2 is posted above the water fountain, in the commons and in the hall. Please check the list and come to guidance with questions.
Any FBLA member who is wanting to run for Office for the 2017-2018 school year, need to pick up application packets in Mrs. Cockrum’s room. Deadline for applications, letters, and resumes is April 25.

Seniors may pick up the pictures they loaned yearbook from Mrs. Auten.
Attention Students: The 320 yearbooks we ordered are gone. However, the plant usually sends some extras, so if you would still like to try to get one. Please get your $48 to Mrs. Auten and she will put you on a “wait” list. We will distribute the extra books on a first come basis. If there are not enough books, your money will be refunded.
The Fox Fire Trap Team Awards and Sign-ups for the 2017-2018 school year will be Tuesday, May 16 at the Hamilton County Jr/Sr High School Commons at 6:30. If you have questions they may be directed to the office.
