Tax Information

The filing of Federal Taxes for the 2013 year  is due by April 15th, 2014.

Tax information for non-resident aliens (NRA). Need information about tax preparation, or resources and software for preparing taxes? For more information about taxes, click here. Two Ongoing Surveys Requesting Postdoc Input

1) AAAS survey on the career support needed for S.T.E.M. professionals to meet their goals. More details here; survey here.

2) Welch Medical Library survey concerning its online Bioinformatics Portal (provides multiple resources in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, epigenomics, metabolomics, and pharmacogenomics). 4/02 deadline; survey here.

The JHPDA Internationals Committee is requesting photos of your country! Photos will be displayed later this spring at a photo exhibit and dinner (date TBA). Postdocs from the US are also encouraged to submit a photo that represents their state!

The Johns Hopkins International Society and JHPDA invite you to join us for the National Cherry Blossom Festival and the Smithsonian Museum tour in Washington DC!

When: Saturday, April 12th, chartered bus departs JHMI at 8:30 am, returns by 5:30 pm

Cost: $18/person (includes round-trip transportation only).  The Smithsonian museums are free.

The newly established Postdoctoral Research Presentation Club is looking for members and speakers! Monthly events consist of 3 presentations per session. Practice a research talk and receive friendly feedback from an audience of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. Native English speakers and ESL speakers alike are encouraged to attend and present.
