The 2018 Hall Of Fame assembly is today during period 3. Classes that are attending should report to the auditorium as soon as possible after the bell.

Yesterday over 200 seniors went roller skating Saints North roller rink. The seniors had a great time skating, falling and chatting. Thanks to Ms Olson for organizing the event. Here are some highlights:

Tonight is the night. Sadie Hawkins dance is finally here. Bring your ticket and your date and get to Centrals blackbox theater from 7 until 10.

A representative from Reed College in Portland, Oregon is visiting today at 1:00 in the CCRC. There are seven seniors that have applied. See Mr. Olson or your counselor for a pass.

On Sunday at the Vietnam memorial at the Minnesota State Capitol Central’s symphonic band performed for the ceremony. The band has been performing at this event for over 20 years. Thanks to Mr. Oyen and the band for showing up on this chilling morning. Here is a look at the event.

The fall musical “Once Upon a Mattress opens tomorrow night at 7pm. This hilarious musical directed by Ms Gill includes an amazing set, great music and many talented students. Don’t miss it!! The play is at 7pm Friday and Saturday and a Sunday matinee at 2pm. (take poster)

Yesterday was national signing day for college athletes. After being recruited by multiple schools, Central’s own Katherine Ashley signed yesterday to play division one college soccer at Illinois State. Here is some footage of the event.

Talk a walk around Central and you just never know what you’ll find. Yesterday CMN reporters captured AP English classes discussing thesis statements on the 3rd floor. Here is some footage from from what we found. We wish you luck with your essays!

Registration for the free College & Career Readiness Program, formerly called  ACT Prep is open. Registration closes Nov. 21st. See Schoology for more information.The ACT is in February.

The St Paul Riveters play the first game of a 4 game home stand tomorrow night against Eveleth. The girls are looking for their first win of the season meanwhile Eveleth is 1 and 1

Girls basketball is nearly done with their first full week of practice. The boys kick off their season on Monday. Be sure to turn in all your paper work to the athletic office today!!!

And finally, Tuesday the Junior AVID class went to Wisconsin to tour two colleges. They toured the campus, ate at a banquet, and even saw some dorm rooms. The trip was very informative. Showing that thinking about college is important to think about now. College is right around the corner!
