Creating and hosting a personal website using github
If you want to use cloud9 IDE, follow this video after watching the first two. This might be more challenging, so please attempt at your own risk :). Note: If you have already started using cloud9, this video will show you how to download your project locally.
Please make sure your html document is named index.html. This a naming convention required by GitHub!
Please make sure your GitHub repo follows the naming convention username.github.io. See me if you are confused! If you already have a repo, but can not add files. Delete the repo [Go to the repo’s settings tab and then scroll down to danger zone section] and then re-create it making sure to select the following:
