| Super Sprinkles Racing 2025 Requirements & Community Expectations |
As an amateur bike racing and development team, we work together to promote inclusivity and accessibility in the racing community. We collectively strive to enliven the bike racing community whether that be through racing, volunteering, or supporting our teammates.
Please review our membership application process and requirements below to learn more about our team community.
Process
- Apply for or renew membership by filling out our Application and see membership requirements, below.
- Current members who have met their race requirements in the previous year will have priority membership.
- The Super Sprinkles Management team will review your membership submission and reach out regarding their decision and next steps (dues, slack access, benefits, insurance, kit info, etc.).
Membership Requirements
Dues
Membership dues are required to join Super Sprinkles Racing. Membership dues aren’t intended to discourage or inhibit anyone from racing. If our membership dues present a financial barrier for you, please let us know by emailing the management team.
- 2025 membership: $150*
- *Riders who meet race and volunteer minimums and posted a race report for these races will be reimbursed 50% of their membership. For example, if you race 5 races and volunteer at 2 events, you will be reimbursed 50%.
- Payment information will be available once you are an approved member.
Race and Volunteering Minimums
Members are expected to start in 5 races and volunteer 2 times each season (barring extenuating circumstances such as injury)*.
Be sure to register as "Super Sprinkles p/b Bicycle Law!”
- Race minimums:
- All types of disciplines that include a podium and/or timed results including road, track, gravel, mountain bike, and cyclocross count towards this minimum.
- For the purposes of race minimums, the race season runs from November 1, 2024 through October 31, 2025.
- Volunteering minimums: Members are expected to volunteer twice each year:
- Giro di SF: We expect all team members to volunteer at this event.
- Bay area races or team events: Volunteer at another race in the area, or work with staff@supersprinkles.racing to host a team-wide event.
Membership Expectations
We hope that members remain engaged with Super Sprinkles throughout the year to build and strengthen our racing community. Though we understand that life ebbs and flows and priorities shift as personal and professional endeavors change, engaged teammates are integral to our successes as a team and community.
Participation & Competition
- Race! It’s what we do!
- Attend Priority Races: In order to bring and keep team spirit on the road, we want to see the team show up in force at certain events. You are required to race 2 of the team’s priority races (any combination of disciplines).
- 2025 priority races can be found here Super Sprinkles Race Calendar in the “2025 Priority Races” tab.
- Ride together as teammates on local rides: Know your team, ride bikes together.
- Attend/Lead FCC rides: Many of our teammates ride with and are involved in Fat Cake Club (FCC).
- Attend Team Rides: We have a team ride once a month. Rides are road and/or gravel and usually include a social component. Members are strongly encouraged to join for all or part.
- Support teammates at races: Cheer on your teammates!
- Course marshaling: Volunteers can cheer too!
- Team Feed Zones: If you’re at a race and have time to volunteer, hand off bottles and snacks to teammates while they race.
- Participate in team camps and activities:
- Attend a Team Camp Event: Join your teammates for a day of or whole weekend of riding and social activities during team camp in early spring.
- Be active in the community:
- Attend races: Be present at races, and cheer for our teammates even if you’re not racing.
- Engage with teammates on Slack: Slack is our main team communication medium. We hope that members are active and engaged on Slack whether they show enthusiasm for a race, organize a carpool, ask for advice – just about anything! Photos! Memes! Be there!
- Post race reports in Slack: Members are encouraged to share their thoughts about their race experience in the #race-reports channel on the Super Sprinkles slack.
- Track your Progress: Let us celebrate your successes!
- Update your slack rider profile with race results, volunteering efforts, wins, and progress made towards your goals!
Representation of the team and our community
- We represent our values.
- Community. Our team is our family. We treat our teammates with unconditional support, love, and respect.
- Challenge. We know racing is hard, and we know that you are more than capable of being your best self whether you’re chasing the podium or trying to catch back on the pack. We want to see our teammates challenge themselves and each other in pursuit of trying new stuff and doing hard things.
- Fun. We are the team cheering the loudest, turning up the music, laughing the most, celebrating the little wins, and bringing the good vibes. Join the party!
- We race together in team kit.
- Members are required to race in the Super Sprinkles team kit. Members who need a jersey can:
- Purchase a Super Sprinkles jersey from https://store.supersprinkles.racing
- Borrow a Super Sprinkles jersey from a teammate. (Post in the team slack for one.)
- Members who have financial concerns about purchasing kit can contact Super Sprinkles Management at: mgmt@supersprinkles.racing
- We’re visible.
- We’re not just another race team; we’re at races for the love, so let’s show it! Give smiles, waves, and fist bumps to anyone, whenever you can. Change the vibe from icy to spicy!
- If you’re on instagram, tag us (@supersprinkles.racing), and/or tag our sponsors if they’ve helped you with anything!
