Rubber Duck System

Step 1 - determine player ratings

Step 2 - calculate rating difference

Step 3 - choose a duck color based on the chart. Then pick up one of the rubber ducks that matches the color

Step 4 - lower rated player starts the game with the number of points indicated on the bottom of the rubber duck

Step 5 - after each match game, the points are adjusted 1 point up or down based on the previous game’s result

0-100 - No duck!

101-200 Blue πŸ”΅ πŸ¦†

201-300 Green 🟒 πŸ¦†

301-400 Yellow 🟑 πŸ¦†

401-500 Orange πŸŸ πŸ¦†

500+ Pink πŸ’—πŸ¦†

  • Each duck has a number on the bottom indicating the number of points the lower rated player begins with. The range for each duck is 3 points. For example, blue ducks are either 1, 2 or 3, green are 2,3 or 4. The starting points shall never exceed 7 points.

Step 6 - Higher rated player gets 1 β€œduck down” point per match allowing them to subtract one opponent point at any time other than the game winning point.
