Dear Sir:
The Trustees of the Carnegie Institute hereby invite you to submit one of your paintings for consideration by the Jury.
The Jury will meet on April 9, at Pittsburgh, and the Eighteenth International Exhibition will be held in May and June, 1914. The members of this Jury will be elected, as has been the custom for years, by the contributors to the Institute's exhibitions.[1]
Your painting will be eligible for honors if entered by you and if painted within five years of the date of the opening of the exhibition: the honors are, a gold medal with an award of fifteen hundred dollars, a silver medal. with an award of one thousand dollars; a bronze medal with an award of five hundred dollars; and honorable mention.
Your picture should be sent through our agents, Dicksee and Company, London. All expenses of transportation and return, including insurance, will be borne by Carnegie Institute. Paintings will be collected by our agents from February 9 to 12.
The Trustees will be pleased to receive an early reply.
