MINNESOTA COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT (MCA III)

The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) and alternate assessment Minnesota Test of Academic Skills (MTAS) are the state tests that help districts measure student progress toward Minnesota’s academic standards and also meet federal and state legislative requirements. Students that receive special services and meet specific criteria may be eligible for MTAS.

MINNESOTA TEST OF ACADEMIC SKILLS (MTAS)

The Minnesota Test of Academic Skills (MTAS) is an alternative to the MCA that is administered to eligible students receiving special services.

FAST

FAST is an optional assessment administered by the district to measure Math Skills, Reading Skills and Reading Fluency. This collection of data is then used to determine eligibility for intervention programs such as Reading/Math Corps and Title I. The program allows the tests to be administered multiple times. JWP schedules the windows in three different blocks within which all students will be assessed.

ARMED SERVICES VOCATIONAL APTITUDE BATTERY (ASVAB)

The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students.
