Advanced Searching in Google Drive
Need to find a file in Google Drive but can’t remember what folder it’s in?
The Google Drive Advance Search Features provides several search options to filter the results and locate files easliy..
Here is how to access the advanced search features:
- Go to the search box at the top and type a word or string of text

- Click the drop-down menu at the end of the search box and choose from the many different options

You can narrow search using the following options:
- Domain: Search for files shared with Sandwich Domain.
- Type: Such as documents, spreadsheets, images, etc.
- Date modified: The date a file was last edited
- Item name: Will search title of the file only
- Has the words: Searches for words and strings of text within files
- Owner: Search for owned by you, not owned by you, or specific person
- Shared with: Who else can view, comment, or edit the file
- Located in: Choose "Trash," or "Starred"
