Team store merchandise has arrived today. Please go to Coach Zachery’s room to pick up your gear by the end of the day today.

Parking Permits

If you filled out a parking permit, please go to the office to pick up your pass . Students will need to be in the correct parking spots starting Monday, August 21st. If you do not have a pass, you will need to get one by Monday if you plan to drive to school.

BULLYING?

Students, there is now an anonymous way of reporting bullying and instances of mistreatment and bad behavior. Located in the area across from career center, just next to cafeteria is a STOP

BULLYING BOX.  Forms are available at the box and can be dropped off in the box. The forms will be collected regularly by Mr. McCracken.

Senior Breakfast

Seniors bring your grandparents, or someone special that has helped you, your heros, to breakfast on today, August 25th @ 8:30 AM.

Senior Pictures

Senior Pictures will be Friday, August 25th @ 9 AM. Christina’s Photography will be here to take professional headshots. Be in dress attire and look sharp.

PD Days

Our next Professional Development (PD) Day of the new school year will be Aug. 30th, school will start at promptly 9:00 a.m.  Anyone who drives or is dropped off needs to be here by 9:00!  Buses will run on normal schedule and anyone who rides on the bus can do homework, play in the gym, eat breakfast, visit with friends in the cafeteria and read in the library, until the bell rings at 9:00.

Applications are now available online at  www.benton.org  and due September 12th @ 11:00 p.m. for the:  Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

               Elizabeth Davies-Ellis Scholarship

               Baldwin-Stembel Scholarship

               *The Benton Community Foundation Community Scholarship Application will be available December 1, 2017

White County Foundation 

Lilly Endowment Scholarship is available. www.whitecf.org, Mrs. Harrington has copies in the office.  You can also check your email. Deadline: September 7, 2017

Jasper County Foundation

The Lilly Endowment Scholarship is available on line at https://www.jasperfdn.org/scholarship/lilly-endowment-community-scholarship/.  Deadline is September 15th

Nomination to the US Service Academies

Any senior planning or interested in enrolling in West Point, the Naval or the Air Force Academy please see Mrs. Harrington in the office for the nomination application. These are due in the office by September 5th.

School & Club Activities

Attention all future Broadway Stars:  The play sign-up sheet is in the library. The name of the play will be announced at try-outs. If you plan on being in the fall play the try-outs will be on Sept 7th after school in the auditorium until 4:30.  If you have any questions contact Mrs. Young in the Library.

State Fair Workday with FFA

Meet at the ag door at the high school at 7 am on Saturday.  Plan to be home by 4 pm.  YOU MUST HAVE A SIGNED WAIVER TO PARTICIPATE.  Please get one from Ms. Verhaeghe or Mr. Scherer.

Vestige                              

Do you find yourself writing songs, poems, or short stories? Is photography a hobby? If so, join Vestige--Tri-County's Literary Website. It will be filled with student work from those on the staff and other student-submitted work. There are also a couple positions open for students interested in website design. The only requirement is that you must be in high school.  See Miss Geheb in room 224 with questions or to sign up!

MS Cheerleading

First Practice starts Tuesday, August 22 @ 4:15-5:50 PM. Physicals will need to be turned in and forms brought to first practice.

Volleyball 

This year we will order from the team shop from CD Embroidery.  Our color of shirts and hoodie will be red.  The website is:  www.go2tshirtlady.com/tri_county volleyball . If you can, please place your order by Monday, August 7th.  I hope we can get them by our first game on August 14th.

Tri-County's new athletic website features an online store for the purchase of Tri-County apparel.  Go to tri-countyathletics.com, go to the toolbar and click on Store.  Click on the dropdown box and you will be connected to the Tri-County online store to shop.  View the latest TC Gear and logos.  Infant, Youth, and Adult sizes are available as well as other TC logo items.  Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
