METROPOLITAN POLICE OFFICE,
NEW SCOTLAND YARD, S.W.
8th February, 1918.
CONFIDENTIAL
Dear Mrs. de Laszlo
When you called upon me at this Office, I understood you to say that your son’s name had been, or was likely to be taken off the List of one of the housemasters at Eton.[1] As this seemed to me very hard on the boy, I wrote to Mr. Alington,[2] the Headmaster, but he is unable to trace the House for which the boy’s name was entered. Could you let me know this, and I will write again?[3]
Sincerely yours,
BH Thomson
