New families will need to contact the District Administration Building to set up an appointment to come in and complete the registration process for their family.

Why is Okoboji using an Online Registration process?

We place a high value on your time spent each school year standing in line at a traditional school registration. In order to give parents that time back, we’ve worked with Infinite Campus to deploy their Online Registration Tool in our district to empower you to have the convenience of registering your family from literally anywhere, anytime. Yes, it’s true, you can register your family for school next year in your pajamas! This process is also very similar to how higher-education institutions are handling registration.

Will we still have a traditional registration day each year?

We will not have a traditional registration day each year as you may have been accustomed to in previous years. The shift to the Online Registration process will eliminate the need to have such a day. We will still have dedicated time to assist those individuals without access to a computer, or who need a hand in completing the Online Registration Application. This time will be communicated each year and may look a little different as we explore our best options with this new process.

How will we sign up for intake conferences for TK-6th grade students?

TK-6th grade parents have, in previous years, signed up on paper schedules for their annual intake conferences on the traditional registration day. Moving forward, we will be sharing a link to an online registration tool, called SignupGenius, which will facilitate this scheduling process. There will be a separate email sent out containing specific instructions on how to access the SignupGenius page for each student’s teacher.

When and how do I pay for registration fees?

All registration fees will be assigned and will be accessible through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Payments can be easily made through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal by e-Check or credit card, or by bringing cash or a check to the District Administration Building. All fees must be paid before the first day of school.

How can I see who my student’s homeroom or classroom teacher is?

Parents are able to login to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and find this information on the Schedule Tab on the left side menu. If you have any questions about finding this information, you can contact your student’s building and they can assist you.

How can I get help if I have trouble with the Online Registration Application?

Getting help with Online Registration is just an email away. You can send an email to campusportal@okobojischools.org. Briefly describe the issue you’re encountering and be sure to include your first and last name, as well as a phone number that you can be reached at so we can better assist you.

Can I register my student(s) from my smartphone?

Although it is not officially supported, parents have reported success in navigating the Online Registration Application using the browser on their smartphone. The application is best suited to be completed with a regular computer or larger tablet type device.

What should I do if I don’t have a Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account?

If you have never set up an Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account, you can submit your request through our REQUEST FORM. If you are just unsure of your username or password, there are self-recovery options on the Portal Login Page. Just use either the “Forgot Your Password?” or “Forgot Your Username?” links to reset them. All other Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account questions can be sent to campusportal@okobojischools.org. Briefly describe the issue you’re encountering and be sure to include your first and last name, as well as a phone number that you can be reached at so we can better assist you.

Why aren’t my step-children showing up in my Online Registration Application?

If you’re having troubles with step-children not showing up on your Online Registration Application, it is probably because we don’t have you configured in our system as a legal guardian of these students. If this is found to be an error on our part, please contact the District Administration Building at 712-338-4757 for further guidance.

How do I complete and submit my Free and Reduced Meal Application?

If you believe you may qualify for Free or Reduced meals, we strongly encourage you to complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application prior to paying any school fees. Qualifying for free or reduced meals will also allow you to receive free or reduced instructional fees.

There are Free and Reduced Meal Application materials at the bottom of the enrollment web page in their respective folder. You may complete and print the forms yourself and mail them in or come to the District Administration Building (1205 7th Street) to complete the entire process. How can I purchase an activity ticket online?

Purchasing student and adult activity tickets online can be done very easy through the Parent Portal. Please see the short animation HERE which shows the process for adding them as an optional purchase for your student(s). You will use the same convenient payment process as you do for adding lunch money or paying instructional fees to complete the transaction. We will be able to run reports and distribute activity tickets to students who have purchased them online by making them available in the building offices.

How do I add my PK, KG, or other student who didn’t attend Okoboji last school year?

You are able to add additional students to your application by using the Add Student button found on the Student section of the application. See the screenshot below.
