Uniform Inspection Standards

The Full No.3 Uniform is an essential part of NPCC life. It reflects upon NPCC’s core values such as discipline, loyalty, integrity. It is what allows a cadet to gain belonging into SJI NPCC.

Uniform is to be brought in a uniform cover for training or courses that require the full uniform to avoid it being crumpled.

1. Beret

• The beret crest should be about 2 cm above the left eye
• The beret should be clean of stray hairs
• The beret should be clean of “fluff”
• Fringe should be tucked into the beret
• The ‘beret tail’ should be cut or tucked into the beret
• The beret should be seasoned so that the crest and the ventilation holes are on the same side

2. Hair

• Hair should not be touching the collar
• Side burns should not touch ears
• Fringe should be tucked into the beret
• Hair should be kempt

3. Shirt

• The collar and shirt must not be crumpled.
• All received badges and buttons must be placed on.
• The collar must be standing.
• All button crests should be upright.
• Badges above the pockets are supposed to be centralized according to the pocket button without touching the pocket
• Badges on the sleeves should be aligned to the iron line on which your formation sign should lie on
• The formation sign should be 3 fingers spacing away from the epaulette
• No stray threads should be seen
• Badges are to be pinned correctly
• Badges on the sleeves do not cross over each other

4.  Belt

• The belt loop is supposed to be 2 finger spacing away from the end of the belt
• The buckle of the belt must be aligned with the shirt buttons and pants zip
• Belt should be going counter-clockwise if viewed as the person wearing it.

5.  Pants

• There should be clear iron lines on the pants
• No stray threads should be seen
• Pants should be neat and not crumpled

6.  Boots

• Boot laces should be tied in the method of a chain knot
• Black socks must be worn with uniform
• The pants should not cover the whole boot; it should leave at least 2 boot laces uncovered
• Boot cap must be polished
• Boot laces to be tucked into socks
