Remove Exchange Account from an iPad

Now that the district has transitioned to Google Apps for Education for our email, you should delete your old Smithfield Exchange email account/settings from any iPad (or iPhone) that you use to access your email. Once you delete your old email Exchange email account/settings, you should make sure that you install the free Gmail app and set it up to access your Smithfield Google account.   1. Open the “Settings” app on the iPad
  2. Select the “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” section on the left and check to see if there is an existing account labeled “Exchange” or “Smithfield”. If there is an existing account, tap it to select it
  3. You should see your Smithfield email address listed as the “Account” at the top. Tap “Delete Account” to delete this account
  4. Confirm that you want to delete the account by tapping “Delete”
