Dear Fülöp,

Grateful thanks for your long letter, in which I was particularly pleased to read that you are feeling well enough to be able to contemplate working again soon. Thank the Lord! If you don’t overdo it, I am sure that work will do you good.

I am infinitely delighted that you will after all find a time to come to Hungary and to complete the tasks which those involved are so eagerly awaiting.^[1]

I am very glad that you liked the Hungarian version of the book and that you are also satisfied with the humble contribution I myself was able to make to it.^[2]

Both I and Dr Légrády Ottó, who I am sure has already written to you – or will soon do so – send our

thanks for the copy of Apollo. Your study piece has come out very well in it, of which you were kind enough to send me a separate copy. I will publish it in Pesti Hírlap.

And finally, may I ask you to convey my very particular thanks to your honoured wife^[3] for the infinitely kind lines she wrote at the end of your letter. On reading them I almost felt I should do another book, about her. Perhaps one day there will be an opportunity to do so.
