Advisory Facts Sheet
Please utilize the resources below and review with your Advisory.
“P” Drive – Open “My Computer” > “public on ‘link’ (P:) > “CHS_THE_GRADUATION_PORTFOLIO_online_office”
- “ADVISORY Day to Day” – Plans for things that should be done during Advisory. Follow the routine as a guideline of what needs to be covered and completed during Advisory time.
- “Checklists” – Class-wide and individual checklists for charting portfolio progress. Progress should be checked and updated at least every two weeks during individual meetings with students.
- “Expectation Breakdown PowerPoints” – PowerPoints which explain and clarify each expectation. Please use these PowerPoints during the beginning of the year to teach or refresh what all expectations include.
- “Informative Handouts” – Helpful documents which explain things like: reflections, portfolio access, and MoneySKILL. Please use these handouts to ensure each piece is done correctly.
- “Portfolio for Dummies PowerPoints” - PowerPoints which explain portfolio access, MoneySKILL, scanning, and saving. These PowerPoints should be used during advisory time to teach and refresh these skills.
- “Portfolio Plan Sheet” – An Excel spreadsheet of all Chariho courses and the portfolio worthy work done in each course. These sheets should be completed at the start of the year to help advisors be aware of what advisees should be adding and when.
- “Rubrics – Templates” - Chariho portfolio rubrics for printing and templates for: resume, etc. Advisors should review these templates and can have students complete these pieces during advisory.

- Access to all of the “P” Drive information from any computer
- Access to post any questions or concerns and receive a prompt answer
Benchmarks - In an effort to support student success and timely completion of students’ graduation portfolios, students must meet the Graduation Portfolio Benchmarks. Failure to complete the CHS Benchmarks will result in exclusion from class activities. Class activities include: proms, parking pass, senior picnic, etc. Class benchmarks are:
- To be a sophomore, students must have entered eight (8) portfolio items, three (3) of which must be from Expectations #1 and #2.
- To be a junior, students must have entered sixteen (16) portfolio items, six (6) of which must be from Expectations #1 and #2.
- To be a senior, students must have entered twenty-four (24) portfolio items, nine (9) of which must be from Expectations #1 and #2.
Scanners – The library scanners can be accessed at any time during the school day. However, if there is a line, please see Mrs. Hackett in SS10 or Mr. Kelly in SS12 for a scanner (usually no wait). Please check with your advisor for further options if necessary.
After School – Assistance is offered after school for students to complete assignments that are needed for the portfolio. This work can be revised or students may receive a new assignment from the teacher. Students can check in with each teacher after school to see what can be done and what materials are needed.
