PARC CORDIER

Dear Mr de Laszlo

I have much pleasure in informing you of the safe arrival of my portrait [2825] from London. I am however, much surprised to see that the glass with which it had been framed has been removed  Buck[1] whose address you gave me in 1911 framed the picture for me with plate glass (not ordinary window glass) measuring 74 by 43 inches  I should be really

obliged if you could make inquiries so that the glass can be returned to me, safely – Had I known it were necessary to remove it I would have done so before sending you the picture, so as to be able to replace it on its return.

I was delighted to see such unanimous praise in favour of your exhibition[2] both from the papers and from friends & I congratulate you very heartily on your success.

With kind regards

Yrs sincerely
