Completing a System Access Request
Some roles in REPORTER require a SAR, or System Access Request, to be formally submitted through the MyPack Portal.
Please Note: These instructions are from the point of view of someone with the SAR approval role. Typically, there are one or two designated people who have this access within your department or group. If you are unsure of who this person is, we recommend talking to your supervisor or other coworkers to determine how your group manages System Access Requests.
The following roles require a SAR:

Step 1: Log into Passport at go.ncsu.edu/SAR |
Step 2: Select the option to Start New Request |
Step 3: Search for the person the request is for and click to select them |
Step 4: Scroll down and select the Start Request option beside ‘REPORTER’ |
Step 5: Click the green button labeled Add Another Role |
Step 6: A line will be added where you can ‘Select a role’. Click the dropdown and select the relevant role. |
Step 7: Depending on the role selected, you may need to specify which departments the role should have access to. |
Step 8: Once everything has been selected, click the button at the bottom to Preview Request |
Step 9: In the preview you will see what is being requested for whom. If everything looks correct, click Submit Request |
