You may have up to two different characters at a time. If you wish to play a third you will have to retire one of your two active characters, this is a permanent choice.
These may not interact with one another or transfer Money/items between themself, directly or indirectly.

Vehicles

There is a system in place for how that vehicles functions, which alters a few things regarding what is written in the book. it can be found here Vehicles Shadows over Shanghai

Drones

There is a system in place for Drones, it can be found here Drones

Skills

The skills on the character in regards to the Fighting skills have changed compared to base Cyberpunk RED, as now they are based on each individual weapon, so Shotguns use the Shotgun skill and Assault Rifles use the Assault Rifle skills. This also covers instances where Autofire is in use, where it will use the relevant skill instead of the old Autofire skill. I.e. if you use Autofire with an SMG you use the SMG skill. directly or indirectly. Suppressive fire is a 55 Degree Cone facing forward.

Martial Arts: Our changes to Martial Arts can be found Here

Explosive Scatter: When an explosive misses roll 1d(margin of failure) and that determines how many meters the explosive scatters by.

Salvaging

See Salvaging rules.

Tarot

The Tarot has been reworked to not punish the player (as severely) due to rolling high on their damage dice.

Shanghai Tarot

Trauma Team

Silver: They will extract the planholder (or whom it has been triggered on) and Quickfix what they can (Permanently). They can perform treatments requiring Paramedic, but will charge hospital prices for it. Trauma Team will only do this while they are extracting someone from the area.
Executive: Extract the plan holder and will perform treatment to cure critical injuries at no cost. Each Critical injury treated this way will take 4 hours. This can only be used when Trauma Team is triggered during the missions and will not help heal injuries on anyone other than the one extracted. Trauma Team will only do this while they are extracting someone from the area.

Stats

Cyberware/Drugs cannot bring your Stats above 10 not counting body. This is calculated before armor penalty,

The Weather

See The Weather, The appropriate realtime month is in effect.

Housing/Lifestyle

Lifestyle and Housing

Hospital and Surgery

After character creation, purchase of cyberware does not come with free installation of cyberware.

Player Medtech can do this for you, or you can head to the hospital and pay their enormous fees.

See CPRED p. 225.

Addiction therapy effect: "Patient is freed of one of their addictions. However, whenever they roll against the Secondary Effect of the source of their addiction for the ongoing month and 1 months after getting clean, they automatically fail the roll" This means that if a character is detoxed before making the check against the secondary effect, they are not getting addicted. If you get addicted, mark in your log with a Hammertime stamp when the two months are up.

You can play an FBC, or an Exotic Full Borg Conversion, be warned that there is heavy discrimination against both.

Reputation:

Martial arts

China is a country with a rich history of Martial arts, and they are quite common, a complete list of them can be found within Shanghai Martial Arts

Purchasing, Selling and Bartering:

All players can purchase Items with price Categories of Dirt Cheap, Cheap, Everyday, Costly and Premium assuming the item is Publically available in Server Master Item List. This does not cost any DT.

On the first Weekend of the month, there are Night Markets going around, where players can purchase Expensive and Very Expensive items that are Publically available. This does cost 2 hours worth of DT (Expensive and Very Expensive only).

Outside of those night markets only Fixers with relevant ranks can purchase/barter items that are classed as Expensive, Very Expensive, Luxury or Super Luxury. You may barter an item of equal value for another item, i.e if you have a 100eb item and you want to use that to pay for another 100eb item you can do so, if you want to exchange an item that is classed as Expensive or higher, you still need a Fixer to locate the item your want to barter to for you.

You cannot sell to NPC’s for eb.

You cannot purchase items that are publicly unavailable.

Publically available Weapons can be purchased as Poor Quality by reducing their Price Category by 1.

Publically available Weapons can be purchased as Excellent Quality by Increasing their Price Category by 1.

Edgerunners getting caught

If a player is arrested at the end of a mission they will be stripped of all items and cyberware they are not permitted to have. (Forgery check will be made to see if they spot forged permits, this will be rolled against the individual permit)
They will be set to have a bail of 10% of the unlawful items they were caught with, to a minimum of 100. This will need to be paid before they are released.
They will be deducting 20 DT from their total DT score upon release.
If they do not have the requisite DT, these will be deducted from future DT at a rate of 1 per mission.
Remaining 'owed' DT can be expended at any time to end this.
A character who is jailed will have:
Housing: Jailed +3DT monthly DT, +0 DT per gig. -2 Humanity.
Lifestyle: Jailed: +1 Monthly DT, +0DT per gig. -2 Humanity.

Death:

What happens to all the gear, weapons armor and money I have if the character dies, can I leave it to other characters? You cannot transfer items you owned while alive to others after your death.  The greedy government/gangs proceed to confiscate everything your character previously owned, to use to fuel the ever growing and dying economy of the city. If you were in any RP scenes before your death, do feel free to write them out to the finish. Do feel free to head to the Graveyard channel and write a post about your character's last scene, or last words from their agent to their Choomba’s out there.
Retirement:
Retirement of a character is permanent.
But it does grant some bonus to your next character on what your character has achieved in its life.
